I especially hate seeing the term fudd thrown around for no good reason.
I'm a polar opposite of a fudd and yet I've been called that multiple times here just because I tend to prefer the aesthetics and actions of guns traditionally made for hunting.

I have nothing against semi-auto 22s, but I just find the Ruger 10/22 to be fairly mediocre from the factory. They have shitty barrels and the mags are hard to load without a tool. Yes there are parts available and you can build it into a nice gun but off the shelf, it kind of sucks dick.

As much as people shit on tube magazines, they actually make sense on a general purpose 22 rifle. The detatchable magazines are why most people are drawn to the ruger, but to be honest there is no scenario where I would need to speed load my 22 rifle like some kind of AR15.

I've had a Nylon 66 and an old Marlin 60 in my family for 30 years and both are accurate enough to hit quarters at 25 yards off a rest.

My store does a bucket of questionable ammo for $50, I'm guessing there's around 1500 in there. Ive never bought it and wouldn't want to shoot it, but it still exist. Otherwise I stick to my mini mags.

I miss the days of bulk pack federal, $10 for 550. We used to go thru 2 boxes in an afternoon between two Marlins. Basically we shot until they were too gunked up to function.

Nowadays I'm paying a similar price for a sleeve of 100 Winchesters or Mini-Mags.
