do you have your bolt with you stalker?
My infinite bolt supply is always ready.
>>33723610
Yup, I always keep one stuck up my ass.
>>33723610
Bolt is obsolete
Svarog is where it's at
>>33723610
your health is low stalker. do you have any bandages? or food?
>>33723815
>try to get your combat multiplier even higher!
>>33723610
yes
I actually have one on my belt
just airshit tho
>>33724070
>airsoft grade bolt
Yeah finding a real bolt is way more expensive.
>>33723885
>Your will energy is low, watch that.
F5 is my bolt
>>33724070
>>33725474
I have an odd feeling that a nylon bolt would be more expensive than a steel one.
Nah, I just carry Canadian currency on me.
THANKS TRUDEAU.
>>33723610
What I don't get is why does Strelok, Scar and Degtyarev carry a pocket full of bolts instead of a single bolt on 5 yards of string.
>>33726239
dude weed tho
>>33726218
Oh god yes it would be.
Takes a lot more work to extrude nylon and thread it than casting a metal one.
>>33726264
>>33726256
>throw tethered bolt into springboard
>force of anomaly pulls your finger/wrist/arm off
>>33726283
>Anomaly sends 10,000 volts through you.
>>33726256
>Throw bolt into gravity anomaly
>Your entire body is forced into a 2'' crack in the pavement
They actually explain what the bolts are for in roadside picnic, the stalker games abstracted it to bolts causes anomalies to glow/activate to make it easier to see and not have you spend fifty minutes moving across one anomaly field
>>33726296
I'm a retard and forgot to include the second half of my post
In canon the stalkers watch the bolts to figure out what exactly they're dealing with, then use them to find safe areas where they can pass
>Bolt explodes/disappears/turns into rotten meat=dealing with xyz anomaly
>>33726303
while in theory that sounds fun, but im glad they decided to go with visible anomalies. mods like misery make them invisible and you pretty much have to be throwing bolts all the time when you aren't shooting thing its so fucking tedious.
Why not use spent casings, should be everywhere in Stalkerland
>>33726333
Because roadside picnic introduced it and nobody carried guns in the zone in that
What stalker game should I start with?
>>33727627
Clear Sky
>>33726296
I read it was because anomalies are triggered by disruptions in their magnetic fields. Bolts are iron, so they reveal anomalies. Most life on earth has iron based blood, which is why living things trigger anomalies as well.
>>33726333
Brass isn't magnetic, therefore it wouldn't reveal anomalies.
>>33727700
Wut r steel casing /K/omrade
>>33723610
I always carried a bag of bolts on me till I realized that I've never had to refill my bag, so now I just keep one in my pocket and don't really question it. The zone provides in mysterious ways I guess.
>>33723792
What happens when your detector doesn't show you the size of the anomaly, tourist
>>33726330
YOU MADMAN, what if vortex sucks you in and turns you into an artifact!
>>33723610
sometimes but it's heavy and unwieldy in pockets. It may be fun to throw at immigrants though.
>>33725590
kek
>>33727794
>Thorn artifacts are created from the burnt fuzz anomaly and the body of a careless stalker
Always felt a little weird selling them after reading that
>>33727786
Svarog never lies stalker.
Yeah, have some feet too.
What is the bolt for
>>33725590
>getting sucked into a vortex or whirligig in an exosuit
suffering when you don't quicksave often enough
>>33728161
The fucks with your feet.
>>33728161
holy fuck you have disgusting deformed toenails
That's a screw homie
>>33728199
Thanks m8, I know. Grows at a 2:1 ratio of length to width. Painful as fuck/
>>33726273
Bolts aren't cast you dumb shit they're forged from bar stock and are roll threaded.
>>33727676
That's dumb
If anything, it would be because we generate our own emf
Hemaglobin is not magnetic, just as iron pyrite is not magnetic
>>33728213
Actually it's a rivet with 2D threads painted over it for some reason.
>>33723610
>>33726330
>>33728092
>>33728161
>poorfags needing bolts to guide them
>not buying an exosuit and Svarog combo
>fucking around in petty zones while I find artifacts like a Jew finds pennies
lol idiots, have fun dealing in petty cash while I'm slinging millions of rubles like it's nothing.
>>33728510
I'm not a fan of many of the mechanics introduced in Misery, but I love the way they turned artifact hunting from the vanilla's leisurely stroll to a high success rate suicide attempt unless you have very specific equipment that is unsuitable for general exploration / combat.
It seems much more in line with the lore (why would stalkers be willing to slit their friends' throats for baubles you can just fucking pick up as you go along, wearing nothing but an overcoat and equipped with a detector that costs less than a beat up rifle?)
>>33725474
>>33726218
I know I phrased it incorrectly but you don't need to act so retarded about it
I said I have the bolt on my belt for airsoft
not an airsoft bolt jesus christ guys
