Im considering making a .50 beowolf ar w/ wooden furniture (to mimic a certain rifle)
but i have little to no knowledge about them, and all the videos i can find are pretty much garbo when discussing the technical aspects and how to make one, do i need a special lower, or would a standard ar lower work? Where to get, and any recommendations for upper? Any help is appreciated.
>>
>>33722609
Standard lower should work. Bolt would need to be properly sized for the round, same as the barrel and possibly other parts of the upper. Additional recoil would be felt, so that is a consideration for how well made the lower and stock should be(not a problem as you certainly aren't considering polymer for either)

It is also recommended that you move to Utah and change your name to Randall. and get a second set of furniture so you can butcher it for best aesthetics.

A Standard A1 upper and lower should work, just be warned .50 barrels are too THICC to use an A frame front post/gas block. I think a company used to make A Frames for really THICC barrels but I havent seen one in many years. I was also doing a Checkpoint Carbine build but I opted out to use .458 SOCOM since its more common in my area and I can still use an A Frame. Good luck with you build my man.
>>
Fiddy beowulf is all proprietary bullshit. Look at alexander arms cause they're the jews that own the rights.

You really only need a new upper to use it, but unless you really want a fiddy baewoof, you might as well just build a 458 or even a 300BLK, the 50 doesn't really do anything those other two can't.

Problem 2: dissipator or faux dissipator gas system underneath wood furniture

how about you mimic kurt cobain instead

the only thing is an upper with enlarged ejection port, and a heavy buffer in your lower

also barrel extension and feed ramp are something to consider

.50 beo uppers slot in on any standard AR15 lower.
>>
>>33725091
anything beowulf comes from Alexander Arms, and they don't do individual parts. Anything you get made is gonna be by someone who's essentially reverse engineered it, so it should work but caveat emptor.

OP I've looked into this build pretty hard, here's what you're going to need to do.
You need to buy a Beowulf upper from alexandra arms since there a bunch of jews and won't sell parts separately. You need to take the barrel and bolt carrier you can toss everything else. Get yourself an A1 upper, grind the ejection port till rounds eject since a standard upper won't eject the Beowulf cartridge. Get wood from Iroonwood. You're going to need to spend some cash on a proper front sight, look into HBAR front sights you'll have some luck there otherwise prepare to spend some money on a custom one. Hope this helps OP

>>33726682
ive been looking into those hbar front sights you recommended, and all i can find is .750 diameter unfortunately, any idea where or what company i could contact for a custom a frame?

following up on that, until i can either find a obscure aframe sightpost from what seems to be the early to mid 90s during production or way to have it custom made, im going to have to live with the detachable aframe "lookalike" that comes with a beowulf upper, :/ thanks for the pointers tho folks

.50 beowulf is a meme.

Go with .458 SOCOM because the parts are easier to get. It's the same round just a lot cheaper with .458 and no big differences

I remember an A2 beowulf build on AR15 website awhile back. The way he did it was he found an oversized sight and made a sleeve. Honestly though I have the feeling it's going to be a custom job unfortunately

TROMIX Barrel and Bolt head, gunna use a chrome BCG, and for the A Frame, Tromix barrels are carbine gas, but where the A Frame should be to get a rifle sight radius is .730, so I have to up mill a .625

Everything in the lower is standard, but you will need a 7.62x39 bolt.

and it's also a real thing and it's also what the cartridge is actually called

Aside from being a smaller projectile in a bottlenecked case. If you actually wanted to suggested something with tangible benefits you could have said .450 bushmaster since it has a greater capacity and uses easier to source bullets but whatever
>>
>>33727266
Of you want to sure. Personally I would probably opt for a PS90 but the AR57s are pretty neat. However if you think you want one then you have a shitload orlf research to do because there have been plenty of issues with them from upper fitment to buffer weights to absolutely mangled ammo
