My firing pin start making seemly too shallow crate in primer at about 4k. I replace it there and then along with gas rings, and cam pin as prevent maintenance.

my gas system can afford this due being carbine gassed 16" but i would recommend you replace all of those parts at 3k as preventative measure. one where area around hole is mostly white from amount of cracks and crack lessen as it depart from the hole the hole would be tad bigger than bullet size. this is often from high speed bullet most of time rifle round then there's second very distinctive from lower velocity such as 22lr or stray pistol caliber from distance where the exiting side have crating a bowl like crate and the hole is very neat.

i'll look into stretch setting, thanks for the advice. about doing it on models like ta31 without free hanging objective bell. I have a solution.

It involve pair of flexible rods (maybe made from bamboo, plastic, or even steel). make tubing hard tight slip fit to eye piece end and rest is pair of strategically cut flaps. one rod at bottom each side inside of the tubeing going thur hole in tubing about half length of the optic and at bottom of the each flaps is properly scruffed and prepped then rubber cemented to the rod which is also scuffed and prepped. the rod will flex as i zip top of flaps close and when i unzip the rods return to its original state pulling the opened flap out of the way.
