Why does Beretta get so little love?
>>
>>33689595
They are expensive and have not done anything worth merit in years.
>>
>>33689721
>expensive

Their shotguns that cost more than most people make in a year maybe. Their most famous design, the 92, can be had for 600, NIB.
>>
>>33689721
>not done anything worth merit in years.
was about to mention the CX4 and then thought to myself "shit, that was a decade and a half ago".

i guess the a600 is a decent if overpriced semiauto.

I've seen quite a few people picking up those 92S police trade ins on Classic. My local PD traded in their 92FS's a long time ago, I managed to snap one for $300 flat.

Definitely my favorite handgun.

>>33689721
>Expensive
They're pretty much on par with Glock as far as pricing goes for the 92 series.

>Done nothing of merit in years
The APX did just release, so that will be interesting to see where it goes.
>>
>>33689595
I wonder that myself. The PX4 is criminally underrated.
>>
>>33689595
Military contracts gave them a ton of money in the short run but cheapened their name in the long run.

owned one of these for a day. By far the most uncomfortable grip I've ever experienced. Bought a S&W SW22 Victory instead.
SW22 grouped better too.

Fucking this. Have two of these bad boys, might snatch up a PX4 fullsize for $350 before their rebate deal expires.

The PX4 is easily one of the best polymer DA/SA guns out in the market currently and nobody really knows about them.
>>
>>33689595
Because I want a 92 inox compact without a rail, but they don't sell them despite the fact that they still make 92's and have not changed the design in over a decade.

Are brigadier slides compatible with 92A1's? Is there any reason I should get a 92FS instead of a 92A1? What is a fair price for a 92A1 and 92FS?

Local gun shop has a 92FS for $699 but that seemed a bit steep
>>
>>33693698
That's bullshit high for a 92FS in my area. We sell them for low fives all day long.

Anons, I recently saw pic related and now I really want a Beretta to add to my small firearms collection. Also growing up when I was younger watching Lethal Weapon/Die Hard helped push this but now I'm thinking is the time. What should I look at as my first Beretta? thinking 92FS but I recently discovered the 8045
>>
>>33693757
In Georgia they are consistently under $600.

All it takes is popping out a detent to turn an "f" to a "g". If you prefer a decocker to a safety. Takes about ten minutes.

Quick question, my Beretta Brigadier Inox is expelling hot powder from the rear of the slide directly into my face like a revolver usually does. Has anyone had experience with this and know what is happening?

Beretta makes amazing over-under shotguns. Don't really care too much about their other stuff.
>>

It's hot oil and your an moron for keeping a pistol that wet.
>>
>>33689721

and their pistols after the 92 & 84 have weird styling too
>>
>>33689595
I bought a CX4 Storm with some 30 (29) round knock off Chinese Beretta mags at the gun show last month. So far its a pretty fun to shoot.
>>
>>33695138
Does that void warranty?
>>
>>33696412
I'll admit I was the one who asked about those in this thread. I know I'm late to the party but I only recently discovered how easy it was to make one of those and I'm just too god damn nerdy to not jump on the bandwagon.

>>
>>33697014
Mostly how much it cost you and how long it took to get it all together.

Do you ever carry it? Does the brig slide feel noticeably different while shooting or is it more for aesthetics?
>>
>>33697014
What kinda wood for the grips? Looking into getting a set done and currently leaning towards cocobolo
>>
>>33700100
It's about a $1600-$1700 project, but it varies depending on how you go about it.
It took my about a year to put together.
I never carry it. Shoot it every couple months though. I guess you could say it's a safe queen.
The difference in the Brig slide is only very slightly noticeable. Probably not noticeable to a novice.

>>33700340
It's cocobolo.
>>
>>33697014
How did you get the slide refinished after the engraving? Is it straight black or a dark matte bluing?

Gotcha. Every time I see the grips they always look lighter or darker from picture to picture I guess it's mostly just the lighting like this one?

Because I'm just trying to figure out which color to go with

Couldn't tell you exactly.
The shop I sent it to just told me they'd refinish it to match the frame.

I sent it to Customized Creationz.

>>33700576

Is it kill? I assume the grips guy is still around if he made grips for the new movie guns, which is pretty fucking cool.
>>
>>33700827
It was $400 all said and done.

>>33700859
Haha, could be I guess. I had it done 2 years ago, so who know? DSGrips should still be around. He never added the photos of my gun I sent him though. Kinda irked me, but I got over it.
>>
>>33700917
Grips guy is still around, I emailed him today said he's doing like 50 orders. And not bad I suppose, how long did that take?
>>
>>33700938
He's apparently always doing 50 orders, then.
Back when I got my grips, he ended up emailing me after I placed the order saying that he just got a bunch of orders in. A couple months later, he was working on the movie grips. A couple months later, he was getting a CNC machine to expedite orders.

The grips ended up taking almost 7 or 8 months. He offered them for free, but said I could also have a free pair of future grips. So I took him up on that. I'll definitely build another crazy 92 someday. I just hope he remembers our deal, haha.

The turn around time for the slide was only a few weeks.
>>
>>33695927
Wow its like those were extremely common up until the glock era
