The shitty NY range I go to has 10/hr long gun 100 yards and it's fairly shit but the ROs don't pay too much attention so if you're way down the far end you can be an idiot
I also found a guy with five acres of land on private land in NY that's legally far enough from the road to shoot on and he's chill enough to let anyone do so.

Not really a range story but my local gym store is terrible. I'm in California and my town has few gun options. You would think people trying to sell a product would be friendly but when I walk into the place I feel like I'm about to get drawn on. They are all on edge. They tersely answer any questions I ask. The few times I have gone I ended up leaving so I didn't end up giving them money.

I live in flint. All the gun ranges are full of nogs that want to test there new gat before the shooting/robbery. The staff have given up doing safety shit so it's chaos most of the time. Also they always shoot sidways even with rifles, why I will never know.

Why not just go to another range? There are lots of shitty ranges, but you're making a conscious decision to go to this particular shitty one for some reason.

I go to a county range that's by my cabin a lot in Wisconsin whenever I'm up there. It's pretty nice, no fees or anything. The only shitty thing is that it's open to the public so a ton of fudds will bring their entire fucking family during the summer so it's almost impossible to go down range and put up a new target.
