lwrc skirmish sights are nice, like troys but smoother. the only issue is finding a nice used set. they come up for sale every now and then for around $150.
another nice thing about the lwrc sights is the rear aperture isnt flip, its rotating. this means you can fold it down flat on the large or small aperture. plus overall, they look nice imo

Hey guys is it pretty easy to open up the gas port or should I say fuck it and have a smith do it? It's a 18" barrel with rifle gas system and the gas port looks a little undersized. It will cycle stuff like LC 55 grain/mil spec but lighter stuff like Wolf it will short stroke. Everything else on the rifle is as it should be and built right. Asking here rather than killing a thread for this.

Building a 16" barrel ar15. Have a question about buffer tubes. If I'm wanting a mid-length gas system should I get a rifle length buffer or carbine? If I get a carbine length buffer I'd probably get the geisselle buffer for it but if I get a mid length buffer tube I'll probably get an A5 buffer system (unless someone has some other recommendation)
