I beat the shit out of an 84s stock trying to remove it and broke it in the process.

When I got my Mosin I didn't know shit about gun maintenance I never cleaned the barrel and I thought the mineral spirits used for removing cosmoline would be sufficient for cleaning the bolt.

I killed a man in Palawan in 1997. I was there on an expedition into the rainforest to look for endangered species of Nepenthes. It was myself, my cameraman, two porters, and a guide. We came across a native tribe that lived around there. We were assured by the guide that the natives weren't hostile. But apparently there was some kind of dispute over one of their rice milling stations that we accidentally trashed and it got heated. I don't know what happened, all I remember is being shoved and lashing out with the machete. It hit his head and lodged right in it, like it was a tree trunk or something. So much red, against the green of the forest. Like Christmas in Palawan.

The rest fled and the guide assured me it was an accident and nobody would find out. I know it was just a stupid native, but it haunts me to this day. God have mercy on my soul.

There aren't any good ranges in town, I have nowhere where I can just go and shoot, and I'm pretty poor.
I keep spending money on guns instead of ammo and range time because I keep finding old or cool stuff and snatch it up, then tell myself i'll always have time to shoot it later.
