Post your stupid weapon ideas.

My stupid weapon idea: So what if when we made EXO-SKELETON soldiers we placed an MG on their back that out reaches above their head and there would be a stand on their back too so another soldier could stand on their back and than it'd be like double soldiers right?

I have one: a laser rifle with recoil

>>
A combo of robot "horse", exosuit enhanced streanght, wrist mounted machinegun that is chain fed by a backpack and a massive balistic shield.
>>
>>33675095
That's a great idea
Except that'd be a little too slow.
How about you mount wheels on the exoskeleton to help it move faster?
>>
>>33678820
4 wheels would probably give you better stability. What if then, you had a little compartment for you and a flat surface in the back for the gunner to stand on?
>>
>>33675095

SGA style micro drones but in backpacks.
>>
>>33675095
I think the dude standing on your back your fuck up your balance super hard. But the recoil from the MG coupled with the high center of gravity would most definitely knock you down.

mount a mortar on the back of exoskeleton.

then the user can kneel. lock the suit into a stable firing position. then slip out to help operate the weapon.

apply this to any heavy weapon like M2, dragon, javelin, mk19, etc

photons act like they have mass. so it isn't impossible that a laser could recoil. it would just need to put out a huge amount of photons relative to the mass of the emitter.

I thought it was officially a mortar.

And the better stupid idea is a weapon with a minimum safe distance less than it's maximum firing range.

>>33680170
That effect is negligible if we're talking about firing in atmosphere. You would get intense heat and electromotive force first, which would be most of what the shooter would feel.

so basically a blow forward piston that uses a lever(or two for durability if needed) that's connected at one end to the piston, and one end to the bolt carrier, and pivots on a central axis. When the piston cycles forward, the lever pushes the bolt carrier backwards and vice versa.

>>

Ah, but if you put a continuous track system and armor, the enemy will soon copy your design!
We may want to upgrade the weaponry to a heavier gun, maybe a small automatic cannon?
>>
This post is purely for LARPING/educational purposes and I have no intention of construction following device:
>bucket 3/4 full of tannerite and 1/4 full of nails
>bottom section has a 223 chamber and a barrel with sufficient length to accelerate bullet to detonation speed
>also on bottom of bucket is a rat trap with a firing pin welded to the striking bar situated in such a way that it will release when the bucket is lifted and strike the primer on the bullet
>the target is either a) leaning over the bucket or b) has armpit/site of chest exposed

>>
>>33680306
The whole expression is
E2=(mc2)2+(pc)2

Where m =mass
C=speed of light
P= momentum

Mass can be zero, as long as the object is moving. E=mc2 only works for objects are at rest, and the PC part of the equation is zero. Therefore - photos have no mass but they have momentum

>>33684206

>>
>>33680562
Actually i think solar sails use solar winds, as in particle radiation

Particles with mass

>>33680306
God damn you dont even understand what that equation means. That is the static energy of the object: how much energy is released when it gets annihilated with antimatter. Photons have KINETIC energy, and no mass

>>33684206
Pretty sure it's kinetic energy, not momentum. Because momentum is conserved, and therefore absorbing a photon would knock atoms around. Instead, their electrons get excited because they are absorbing kinetic energy
>>
>>33682607
No no no, because the enemy will make an even faster automatic cannon, we just need to have the most cannons sticking out of our exoskeleton as possible!

Do you know what bullets are made of?
>>
modern grenades with tail fins, like this civil war example.

if a nerf football with fins can make anyone throw like Eli Manning. Imagine what it could do for troops throwing grenades.
>>
Soin rifle.
Think of it like a big ring with several magazines along the rim and a barrel on one end.
A bullet is introduced into the disk and several blanks are fired from each magazine which accelerates the bullet. like a particle accelerator. it spins really fast. The interior of the disk is a vacumm so the bullet accelerates quickly without any air-resistance, until the shooter pulls another trigger which opens a new channel that leads out of the gun.
