yea, 30/40 is a bitch to find. My uncle used to shoot hunt with his crag, so I've gotten a box of 20 off him that was loaded in the 70's. Other than that, a couple people have found 1-2 cases here and there and given them to me. I have about 38 cases in all. I'm always on the hunt!

Working on that, I think all of the rifles I plan on getting next have wood furniture. Will probably be a while though as I'm focusing on saving for other stuff.

I agree on the ccw, I recently sold my G19 and am buying an HK USPc. I like the USP style and it will go with my others. As far as the AR needing work...nyet rifle is fine. It's a 6920 with a Vortex spitfire. Doesn't really need anything else, it's accurate at 100 yards standing and that's all I need.
>>
>>33681995
USPc is a good choice, I have a 9c myself and it gets the job done.
> As far as the AR needing work...nyet rifle is fine
The rest of your collection screams taste but the AR screams middle of the road. Its a fine rifle but convert it to a m4gery or something tacticool. The MOE in the middle style isnt "in" anymore and detracts from the rest of your collection.
>>
>>33678286
>more levergun

Maybe. My dad has a 336 Marlin in .35 Rem and I love the cartridge more than I love the rifle. I've never had a lever action just entirely wow me.

This might be the best thread to post in. I'm looking to expand my collection I just have a Mossberg 20g I got one Christmas from my grandpa.
Anyway, any good online shops for buying and what would you guys recommend for a semi-auto rifle? I was thinking an SKS or an M14 if I could find one.
>>
>>33682645
When considering buying a new gun you have to consider the use you'll have for it and how much you're willing to spend.

Will it be for hunting? Home Defense? Punching holes at the range? For sake of collection?

Which AR-15 did you choose to go with? I'm thinking of picking up a couple Smith and Wesson Sport II's since I'm seeing them on sale under $500 now.
>>
>>33682670
A little bit of everything honestly. Kind of want an all around good rifle. Especially if SHTF.
>>
>>33683041
You could always get an AR.

I have a really nice lower with a good stock and trigger work done to it that I swap the uppers for different calibers for different situations. I use a .300 blackout upper for home defense, a 5.56 upper for most range shooting/SHTF because cheap/readily available ammo, and a 6.5 Grendel upper for hunting because of its great trajectory and that its a perfect sized bullet for whitetail. Swapping the upper assemblies out takes all of 10 seconds.
>>
>>33683164
I was thinking an AR would be nice. Especially since they're a lot cheaper than they used to be, but was thinking something with a bit bigger bullet. More DMR than BR.
But I'll definitely sleep on it. Thanks for your help though dude!

Still on. So ok not too bad.
Another question if I may, what's a good AR brand to go with if I don't want to build an AR myself?
One that's good, not cheap, but more on the inexpensive side.

Too lazy to do a proper picture;
>WASR
>PTR91
>mosin
>marlin 336
>remington 870
>Stevens 94
>red letter winchester 37
>eastern arms co single shot
>remington 550
>10/22
>little badger
>makarov
>p64
>p83
>g19
>baby browning
>neos U22
>us revolver co .38S&W
And a broke ass .22 revolver I'll either fix or take to a buy back for profit.

I can see where you're coming from, I've always thought the furniture seemed kinda cheap and looked bad, but as far as function, the rifle is amazing.

the single wall i plan on using is roughly 9'x7' so maybe two sets. i dont think i can get all my guns up there but the boring ones can stay in the safe

Not much obviously, but I'm pretty new to this stuff. Next purchase will either be a revolver or mil-surp bolt action. Or just a 22 for some cheap plinking.

Picking up vepr #3 this friday with any luck.
Police chief is a 30 second walk from me so hopefully he'll just drop off my permit to purchase in person. The one slight yearly annoyance I have do deal with in MN.
Not pictured is my 22cal pellet rifle and over 2000 more rounds between 762x39 & 223 ammo filling the top right crate & on top of it. Had to push the 2 spam cans of 8mm to the side. Right now I'm getting seriously worried about adding any more weight on the chest.
>>
don't have any pictures because they're in a safe at my dad's but all I've got is an heirloom long tom shotgun, a 1935 tula hex nugget with matching numbers, and a hawken .45 muzzleloader

I've been looking for a beretta 92F for almost a year now, though

That's enough for a fun time. Are the barrels on the hawkens actually rifled and accurate with normal muzzleloader bullets like the rightmost 45cal bullet on the left of my picture?

Well, I have a lot more fun collecting guns & ammo than actually shooting them myself.
Hope you get out with them one of these days.

If you get the very early/very late production runs then they're actually fantastic rifles. Theres fourms out there that tell you which serials to look for.
