Sup /k/, lets get a recent acquisitions thread going. Anything /k/ related edition.
>>33664996
a fine little pistol
>>33664996
Nice thread, ATF.
>>33665027
going to post another image with the rubber grips in a bit.
>>33664996
I carry a P64. Great little gun.
Buy a new hammer spring though. That 25lb double action is damn near unusable.
>>33665065
Yeah, the double action is atrocious. I'm planning on replacing those springs soon.
>>33665065
What do you carry it in?
>>33665104
Hornady loads critical defense in 9x18. PPU and bear also have JHPs and they're a solid choice as well.
Hollow points are limited with 9x18 but you can find them. I like critical defense myself but I would be comfortable with the other options as well.
>>33665117
I'm waiting on some brown bear and wolf to come in, interested in knowing which will be better plinking ammo.
>>33664996
after a forever wait time
>>33665184
That's a really nice Fal, what barrel length, and why does the handguard have an opening near the piston?
>>33665201
11in and there is rail panels you can put in there if you want but I don't have them in
Just picked this up, taking it out later today
>>33665178
It's not too picky on ammo. Mine has cycled anything I've put through it
>>33664996
>>33664996
Nice finish.
Mine's out right now getting Cerakoted before I sweat all over it this summer.
>>33669281
How do those grips fare against the original plastic grips? Also, where can I get them?
Technically my latest assuming you dont count stamps
>>33669393
That an mg3 or mg42? Doesn't look like 8mm Mauser when I look at the belt.
>>33669443
It identifies as MG fluid, it is what ever it wants to be if I swap the barrel, feed tray, booster and topcover.
Check your privilege
>>33669515
M-my apologies commissar. Zhe is a machine-gun fluid other-kin.
>>33669537
But in that photo it is configured for 308 since its much easier to get ammo for. Conversion takes 0 tools and about 2 minutes, with the majority of that being rotating the stupid fucking feed tray pin.
Got it today off of Armslist. Paid 180. How did I do?
>>33669559
Any noticeable difference when firing either of the two calibers? Other than price difference of course.
>>33664996
Good choice anon.
>>33669574
LCP 1.0 new is 189ish
So basically you got an okay deal for including the holster.
>>33669604
Not really. Belts are the same and it operates the same.
>>33669633
Any recommendations for self-defense?
It's my first 380
>>33669631
Nice combloc pistols. Is the frame of the p-83 made of stamped steel? How do the internals compare to the p-64?
>>33669660
>Any recommendations for self-defense?
Shooting them is always a good start
Critical defense is always my goto.
>>33664996
picked this up a few weeks ago, haven't had a chance to take it out yet though
>>33669378
Personally, they fit my hand better than the stock grips, and also keep the slide from biting. Recoil is about the same. I got them on eBay, from this guy:
http://stores.ebay.com/Garage-Shop-Stuff-and-More
Marschal grips are nicer, but can take literally months to arrive from Hungary. When you factor in shipping, the eBay grips are cheaper and I had them in about a week.
>>33669701
holy fuck
>>33664996
got this last week
>>33670343
and this a month ago.
>>33665178
They'll eat whatever you feed them. Expect a pretty sharp recoil response but nothing terrible. If you have large hands it will bite you a bit.
>>33664996
I picked up a much needed .30 cal rifle boresnake.
I have 3 guns with a 7.62 bore, and for some godforsaken reason never had a snake.
>>33669997
Weird store.
There are some j frame grips there that look exactly like altamont.
>>33664996
>Sup /k/, lets get a recent acquisitions thread going. Anything /k/ related ed
Just picked one up recently as well. How much did you pay anon?
I got mine with 3 mags, original holster, wolf springs installed, and some shitty OWB holster for $250. Went back to store today and they had another one with just two mags for $289. Granted it was in better shape than mine finish wise but it didn't have the wolf springs.
>>33665178
I've never had mine jam and I have run some absolutely god awful ammo through it. I've thought about carrying it but since the safety is a bit gritty and I feel like I'd need that +1 in the chamber I haven't figured out how I would even go about carrying it. I don't believe they are drop safe and I don't intend to find out the hard way. May try and do a detail strip soon and see if I can find out why it doesn't like going from decock to normal safe/fire.
Also, the safety (the regular one that just disengages the trigger) slips off super easily. I'm honestly kind of worried it would disengage on the draw, and since the single action is like 1lb with the wolf springs, my only option would be to carry DA
>>33664996
This month's purchases.
>>33670981
Got it from jgsales. Paid the asking price plus hand select, then I went out and bought two oem mags for $60. All in all too much money..
>>33671239
let me know how those mags work. I have one un numbered mag and it really is stubborn about going into and out of the gun. Meanwhile the numbered mags go in easy peasy. Hopefully yours aren't that way.
>>33671691
They all seem to function just fine. I have four original surplus mags and they aren't giving me any issues.
Got the Nugget this last week, also bought a fuckton of surplus 7.62 to put through it. Got the Enfield about seven months ago - loving both so far.
Got an RDB.
A little pissed off though. Dude said it was 1:7 but it's actually one of the first 100 made that had the 1:9.
Latest pick up
Few weeks ago
Got this fucking hand cannon last week.
>>33665088
Is is true that it's $200-$250 in the US? I've seen a few P-64s for like less than $50 in Poland.
Burger gun laws are bretty cool, but I just don't understand your firearm prices.
>>33674064
If a pistol shoots reliably it is pretty much automatically in the 200 dollars new bracket here in the US. Sub 200 is for beat up handguns and Saturday night specials.
>>33674064
The pistol has to be imported from Poland. That is going to hike up the price because of the logistical and bureaucratic bullshit that comes with importing a gun. Also I think people just make them priced at >$180 so dindus still just buy hi points and Jennings.
bought a PPS M2 for shits and giggles
next thing will be a new barrel for my 40sw CZ since the last one blew itself up
>>33665117
>using JHP with 9x18 Mak
wew!
>>33669631
Where should I get grips for my mak? It has those stupid black ones by default from Arsenal. Pic very not related
>>33669664
>Is the frame of the p-83 made of stamped steel?
I believe it's a two piece clam shell that gets welded together.
>How do the internals compare to the p-64?
Not sure, I haven't detail stripped it. I know that it's bigger (More comparable to the PP/mak than the PPK/P64 in size). Safety and trigger are greatly improved. And it has an external slide lock lever (P-64 only locks when it cycles with an empty mag).
>>33675053
The last gun show I went to had a few tables with dozens of red mak grips for dirt cheap. Other than that, try numrich, apex, or ebay. If they don't have it, try google.
>>33664996
Nice. They're tough little guns.
>>33675053
http://www.marschalgrips.com
Here's my Bulgarian Mak with red checkered walnut.
>>33669393
Have you ever tried bump firing it?
some pmags for my glock 17
Apologies for shitty lighting and dirtiness-- my first carry gun, just picked it up today after a 3 day delay.
>>33675101
Oh, if I gotta slap a pussy ass nigga Imma make it look sexy. In other words: those look great
Waiting for the shield 45 to be shipped from PSA. Going to be my first single stack "kinda concealable" pistol. First 45 as well.
They barely created a label after 4 days. Stupid slow PSA.
>>33669515
This is an underrated post.
>>33664996
I thought about buying one, but I got a Bulgarian Makarov instead.
picked this up yesterday. put a brick of ammo through it today. is cool
>>33664996
just put my new grips on it
>>33674064
>I just don't understand your firearm prices.
During the last 20 years, the jews in our government have completely fucked us over on imported firearms. Gun rights organizations do nothing about that because they are funded by, and consist of, people that want us to buy American products. The gun grabbers found a tiny loophole to make it hard on us and the gun rights people do nothing about it.
Last thing bought was a PF9 zimzam edition. About 1000 rounds through it now with only a couple hangups during the break-in.
>>33680554
best .22 pistol you could buy. I have one too.
>>33665088
>>33674064
well people bought them for $50 in poland where they come from, and resell them here for double or triple. its the same reason we can buy american s&w revolvers for $800 and you have to spend $2,000
