Personally, I use #4 high brass bird shot as my +1, because I've got kids all in the house (low penetration, no cheese pizza reference intended), and I've had multiple issues where it's wildlife that doesn't need more than #4 bird to end it (1 issue with rapid raccoon, like 4 times I've blown away coyote's for fucking with my dog. One had the balls to try and fuck with my kid.) Such is life in rural areas.

If that doesn't stop the issue I've still got 5 more rounds of 00 buck in the tube, with the last one being a buck-and-ball round I made with a 44 caliber round ball and 6 rounds of 00 buck.

Supermag was actually my first gun. Oddly enough I acquired that AFTER I borrowed a single shot 20gauge that kicked like fuck since it was a bare butt and was maybe 5lbs. These days is a 835 with a 14" extension on it.
