You're not the only one who was screwed from that, For me it was a wasr with 3 mags, and 100 rounds of ammo for $825 private sale during the scare. The thing functions superb for a wasr, so I've come to grips with being so foolish. But with the market now, there's better options at the same price point for both of us had patience been a thing. If someone told me that in just 4 years time the market would get back to a low norm, I'd have held out. But that's in the past. Shit happens, gotta deal with poor choices when they come.

I sometimes make poor decisions that waste money.

>Building AR
>Get ahold of the lower that I intentionally overpaid for just because the name was soon to be discontinued
>BCG and other parts show up
>The bug gets me hard and suddenly i am less and less money-conscious and too excited to put this thing together
>Parts coming at me from all over the country within like two weeks
>I did OK, but I could have done much better as far as costs

I am just happy to say the majority of money went into a decent barrel and I am overall very happy with the rifle in the end.

Built my first AR on an ATI Omni-Hybrid without realizing it was polymer, when I should've spent another $30 on a two-dicks-kissing Spikes lower.

Good news, I've put probably about 300-400 rounds through it since February, with no issues.

Not a bad gun by any measure, but it's just not worth the price when you can now buy an Arsenal for under 900$ or a Vepr FM for 1000$.
Not sure if I want to get rid of it and accept the loss or hold onto it because it works fine. The plastic furniture it came with is some of the worst I've ever seen, so I'd need to replace it if I really wanted to get a lot of use out of it.

I bought a k91 for $320 a couple years ago and sold it last year for $200 just so I could make rent that month.

It was a 1942 model with a walnut stock, troop tag and as close to perfect rifling as you can get. The bluing was fairly worn, but it was still in great condition.

The part about this that really hurts is that I was able to get in contact with the son of the guy who was listed on the troop tag. We talked for a bit and I asked him why Pam was carved into the side of the stock. Apparently that was his mother's name, and his father decided to carve it into the stock for shits and giggles and to remind himself of who he would be fighting for if the Germans or Italians ever invaded Switzerland. After talking for an hour and a half he ended the call by thanking me and saying he was happy that his dad's rifle had gone to someone who would really appreciate it.

I live in MA and am currently no guns. Applying for LTC when I get an affidavit from my psychiatrist because I was willingly hospitolized at 14 for OCD, but they count shit you did as a minor on the application.

I've owned a Parker Enforcer crossbow as a means to get some form of enjoyment the past 5 years, but since you need a specific stance when aiming or the bolt goes different places each time, after my first scope broke from me just firing and cocking the bow I could never ever sight it in and it gave me a huge irrational hatred for scopes in general.

Also until about a year or two ago I didn't realize .50 BMG and .50 AE were different, and thought stopping power existed until last November.

I also get really aroused by convincing traps but have always been straight and still consider myself straight. I know one who I can fuck but I'm worried about actually doing it, at least for losing my virginity, since I am straight and do prefer women with traps just being a degenerate kink.

I'm 5'8 and 129 lbs, with very little experience interacting in person and spaghetti trying to find an excuse not to when /k/ommrade friends want to meet irl.

I honestly hate England and the UK as an ally because of muh heritage. I'm largely Irish and French genetics wise, but I still consider myself American unlike most MUH HERITAGE fuckers.

Katanas are aesthetic and cool weapons. I honestly consider buying a Zatoichi cane sword from time to time because I love the film franchise so much.

Even though I live on the East Coast up North in Massachusetts I sympathize with the Confederate cause in the Civil War and believe them to have been in the moral right.

I just acted super excited even though I was dying a little inside thinking how muh wife paid $400 for a 91/30.

She was telling some of our friends about how she bought me this cool old WW2 Rifle for christmas. One of them is a fellow /k/ommando. He looks at me and asks all excited "what did you get?" I told him a Mosin Nagant with a look trying to convey "nigga dont say anything bad". He just deflates immediately and goes "oh". Was kind of funny.

Dude, you're gay or at least bi. It's not a big deal. Just accept it and you'll be happier.
>>
>>33674634
No, I wouldn't get in a relationship with a trap since eventually they look like men when older. And normal men are repulsive sexually.
I don't see how that's gay, maybe treading into bi but not quite there.
>>
>>33674684
Liking traps is inarguably gay. Don't try the mental gymnastics to convince yourself otherwise, it'll only end up fucking you up further.

I go by the logic of 'if it looks like a girl and isn't called out as a trap, it's fine to fap'.

Not to mention that some people here deliberately label pictures of actual women as traps.

If there's a bulge or it's obviously a dude, though, I'm out. Square shoulders, adams apple, and man-hands are usually an easy giveaway.
>>
>>33674729
>I'm not sure how attraction to the mostly female form is homosexual period
Because you're knowingly getting off to a man. If you know it's a man, regardless of how feminine they look, and you're still attracted to them then you're gay by definition.
Go by what >>33674720 said
>if it looks like a girl and isn't called out as a trap, it's fine to fap
if as far as you can tell it's a woman, then you're not gay. However as soon as you know it's a man, there's no arguing the gay aspect. There is no grey area with whether or not you're attracted to what is confirmed to be a man.

My problem is that when men look exactly like women I cease to register them as men in my mind, and more as some deviant fuck person.

Like, I look at pic related and don't see some Asian guy who looks like a girl, I just see some androgynous but feminine sex person thing.

It's hard to describe but that's how my mind works.
>>
>>33674758
>I look at pic related and don't see some Asian guy who looks like a girl, I just see some androgynous but feminine sex person thing
You're definitely gay m8, this isn't even a convincing trap and there's some pretty masculine giveaways. Not even mentioning the bulge, if looking at those feet, hands, forearms, shoulders, jaw, etc. doesn't immediately kill it for you (because they're dead giveaways of that being a guy), then you're sexually attracted to men.

It doesn't matter how you view them, or if you consider them androgynous (this one isn't even close), that's still clearly a man and you're sexually attracted to him. Definition gay.

Ew never looked at his feet before. Image fucking ruined.

Also, I honestly don't study anatomy enough to see the differences you mentioned aside from feet.
But then again I have dug traps whose shoulders were a bit broad before.

Even then, I don't see how liking a specific type of man that looks like or strongly resembles a female while being repulsed by all others, while liking women largely and almost entirely when not in the mood for a taboo kink, makes me "gay". A little Bi, maybe, but I'd be iffy to even say full on Bisexual. I honestly can't entertain the thought of sex with even feminine looking, but obviously male men without getting disgusted.

Read what you just typed dude. You're literally saying you like men, that's the definition of gay. It doesn't matter how feminine the man is, it's still a man. Bisexual is also still gay, you're still liking men. Also liking women doesn't negate the homosexual aspect of being sexually attracted to men. Bisexual is just Homo+

>>
>>33674883
I'm afraid not, Hetero has no additional + by definition.

That doesn't make sense. You're saying someone's a homosexual if they partake in any form of homosexuality no matter how small, but they're never heterosexual no matter how many heterosexual acts and feelings they have and partake in?
That's just odd.
>>
>>33674729

>>
>>33674908
It makes plenty of sense. Once you break a plate, you can't unbreak it. It doesn't matter if you try to glue it back together, it's still been broken. Once you cross the line, there's no returning to the original state.

It's too rigid a definition. It also assumes that it cannot go back the other direction. A gay man or woman who finds a member of the opposite sex attractive doesn't instantly become straight, nor is "gay" the sexuality that all things fall under by default.

If you just find feminine traits attractive then you are mostly straight. If the fact that they are a trap makes it more attractive then your at least somewhat bisexual.
>>
>>33675092

My first AR (almost first gun but not quite) bought during sandy hook panic. Assembled by the dude I bought it from. Retro A1 style upper, modern billet lower. $900.

Did not know how to check the trigger functioning of an AR before shooting it. Dude had not installed the trigger group correctly.

Took it to range, it fired two or three shot BURST on first trigger pull, then jammed.

Freaked out thinking I'd bought a gun with a "lightning link" or other full auto mod, without a stamp!

Replaced entire trigger group with an expensive 1-piece drop in trigger because I was afraid to try to assemble an AR trigger myself.

A year later when learning how to build a stripped lower, I got the parts back out of the ziplock bag they'd been stored in, and realized he'd just forgot to put in one spring

>>

Not the same guy, my dude.
Homo+ is in no way more of a thing than Hetero+. Neither exist. There isn't something inherent about heterosexuality that can be broken, so your plate analogy is pretty poor. Sexuality is in one of three, maybe four states. Het, homo, bi, and debatably not at all if asexuals are to be believed.
>>
I have both an AFG and a VFG on one of my ARs.
I know it's probably gay, but i like it. The VFG provides stability and grip for close quarters (home defense etc feels much more suitable), while the AFG feels much better for longer ranges and over-hand type gripping downrange further (innawoods, 70+ yds etc).

The rifle isn't even loaded up with tons of mall ninja optics, lasers, even and scope. Just the grips and some added rails to fit them to.

>isn't something inherent about heterosexuality that can be broken
This is where you're wrong. Heterosexuality is defined by only being attracted to the opposite sex. Once you are no longer attracted to only the opposite sex, you're no longer heterosexual, you're homosexual.

There are not degrees of heterosexuality, it's an is or is not status. If you are not heterosexual, you are homosexual. Please defend your "states of sexuality" you deluded faggot, you're saying the same ridiculous shit as people who defend gender identities.
>>
>>33675205
I havent been to many gunshows, but from experience - in general they seem to be more expensive than what you can find online through slickguns wikiarms etc. It's just like a brick & mortar vs amazon type deal. The guys need to actually make some sort of profit. I'd imagine a lot of them are open to haggling though. And gunshows can be good for military surplus or obscure shit that isn't as easy to find online.

meh don't feel too bad. I moved to USA from a nonguns country and am fairly newish to it (last couple years really). I hadn't fired a 12G yet and was kinda apprehensive about the recoil etc. Finally got round to firing one (after range trips with AKs, ARs, glocks, SKSs, WWII rifles etc), and the thing had totally manageable recoil and im no expert. We did try some crazy, hardkicking ammo types in addition to the more standard buckshot etc and that was pretty fuckin gnarly. What im saying is, if i hadn't have fired any 12G pumps beforehand, i would have strongly considered a 20G as a first purchase also.

I've been Baker Acted when I was underage and still managed to pass background checks and even have a CC license. I have no clue how hard to fight if theres ever a motion to take my guns away, safest route is to comply then hire an expensive NRA approved lawyers I'm guessing if.shit ever happens.

I've made two horrible impulse gun purchases.
>Argie Mauser for $250 that had a pristine mirror bore
>and was missing most of the stock and 10 inches of barrel
>that used a cartridge I'd never heard of
>second was a CZ 620 Big Game for $300
>good gun for a good price
>for other purposes than why I bought it
>I bought it because I needed a skeet gun
>rail on top meant I couldn't see shit, short barreled 20-gauge meant I couldn't hit shit either
My other two purchases were far better informed, a Beretta Cx4 an a Steyr M95M, and I sold both impulse buys earlier this month.
>>
>bought BP Remington one and half year because everything else requires licence
>you need to register it to buy powder from shops
>too lazy to do it, so haven't shot it once
>half year ago get idea to sold it to get money for licence
>once again too lazy to do it
just feel bad about myself

It didn't ND because it didn't have the safety on, you ND'd because you were being negligent and pulled the trigger. Don't call it an ND and not own up to it being completely your fault.

>I fell for the .45 meme

>Can't use that baby in the range, people there may kill me for creating such atrocity.
>Go in the wood, about to shoot my first shot with it, a bit afraid of what could happen, decide to hide myself behind a three.
>I'm literally cuddling the three, barely holding the rifle on the other side, trying to shoot in the ground.
>Shoot... bang is greatly reduced, mission accomplished.

I bought a Marlin 30-30 a while ago for $200. I eventually traded up to a Chinese SKS with zero import marks, matching numbers and had to sell the sks to make rent. I regret it everyday

I got a brand new Pellet gun yesterday because I can't use my Mosin to remove raccoons because where I live. I spent the second half of yesterday and 4 hours today trying to zero the scope. about 3 and a half hours into trying to zero it today I was about to give up and it dawned on me the nobs I was using to try and adjust the crosshair were just covers and I had to use a coin to adjust the corsshair. I am also a pretty bad shot.

I got my WASR with 4 mags during height of Sandy Vag panic for $600 face to face transfer and I thought I overpaid...

Did see a guy online trying to sell a WASR with 10k rounds through it for $750 when i was still looking. I offered him $400 to lowball him and he threw a hissy fit. A year later the same listing was being reposted on my local Armslist with the same price.
