The Gabbett-Fairfax "Mars" automatic pistol. It looks like a miniature field piece with that crazy long-recoil action and rotating bolt locking mechanism. Chambered in some truly powerful (even by modern standards) cartridges it looks like the sidearm for an airship pirate.

Get to Italy. Every grunt had one. They are AR platforms and...well....they aren't that fun to shoot, at least the S\A versions.

Blow forward is a rather odd design that basically works with the space between the bullet and the cartridge driving a gas piston, and the barrel is the gas piston.

Naturally straight blowforward (no delays or other gas ports) is only really viable for small calibers like this.
