Do not do this. Approved choices are S&W Shield or Glock 26. Don't get anything with a steel frame for EDC, you will probably just stop carrying it. Don't get anything made in a third world country. If a gun isn't popular, it's either because it's expensive or it's a piece of shit. Make sure to buy a good holster and purpose-built gunbelt.

Thanks lads, will keep this in mind. I live north of Chicago so seven months of the year are bone-chilling and five months are tropical. Considering our dramatic weather I should probably shoulder carry in the cold (I've got very wide shoulders and a very broad chest and wear a barn coat) and try things out for the rest of the year. Listen, they're fine for the range, they're fine for the bedside drawer, and they're fine for rigid OWB duty holsters that stay far enough off your body that you won't have anything snag into them.
Otherwise, Glocks are a shit choice for CCW. unless you fancy a hole in your dick. For anything you'll be tucking IWB, it's foolhardy to not get something with a safety, especially as a beginner.

CZ-75 RAMI is the top of my list, followed by FNS 9 Compact, and M&P 9C.
