The compact frame is way better, I wouldn't even consider the full size frame. The full size frame has metal front rails but the rear rails are polymer and you have to carefully hand file them until they are perfect. On the compact frame you just remove the polymer "blocks" with sand paper or a file and drop in a metal rail section.
