Thats why T-600s where given backpacks full of ammo and a rotary gun. Looks passable as a human from a distance, but up close they are almost 8ft tall and built like tanks, and dont have fine enough controls to reload mags. They just walk in, point in the general direction of humans and start emptying their 800lb backpack of ammo and grenades into resistance bases/compounds.

It supposedly had very snappy recoil, and I hear so does smoothbore firearms. I have a theory behind this, and it's quite simple. Rifling acts as a sort of compensator. No seriously, it's cutting into the bullet, causing friction, and because the bullet is pushing forward it's of course pushing forward along the entire barrel as it's going along. Without rifling, there's not as much friction to push the barrel forward, resulting in less of a 'compensator' effect.

As for this Dryse or whatever, yes it's rifled, at least I assume such, but the barrel is going forward which absorbs some of that 'compensator' affect. I mean, imagine if you had an actual compensator at the end of your barrel, but when firing, instead of the compensator staying solidly there for the gases to push against, it's actually on springs so it 'jumps' away from your firearm with each shot. This lessens the desired affect.

What do you think, /k/? Sound logic, or did I just go full-retard? I hear the recoil on smoothbore muskets is pretty rough, but I've yet to try shooting black powder sadly.

My experience with black powder is a few muskets and a revolver, and I wouldn't describe any of them as snappy. Black powder is pretty slow so it feels more like a sharp push rather than a snap
