I tried joining the Chair Force but got put on a 3 year DQ because I saw a psychiatrist and they didn't like that (even though the whole point of me going to see the shrink was to have him write a letter saying I wasn't depressed anymore). Then I got depressed again, took a bunch of heart pills and ended up getting thrown in the nuthouse for a month. At least I signed off on it so it was "voluntary" so I'm not a prohibited person, but they'd probably demand medical/insurance shit if I tried to enlist again. Now I'm stuck with a bunch of college debt and, just like you, working at a fucking grocery store. My mom got diagnosed with cancer over Christmas, so I've been moving most of my shit down to my parents' house. I don't really want to live with them full time and leave everything behind where I am, though. I still have stuff I need to do first, and fucking this bitch roommate of mine is up there on the list.

Went to a nuthouse after my dad died, wasnt that bad, still not sure if I'm prohibited by anything. That's exactly the problem. The deal with my landlady was that I had to find someone to inhabit my room so I could move back in with my parents after my mom got cancer, but now I have reservations about that. She is supposed to take over my room once some other guy moves into her current room in 2 weeks. If I let this go she'll end up like me and be a loser all her life instead of getting back into college and doing well. She's literally making the same mistakes I did that fucked my life over. I won't drink because I don't want to buy any more anything. If the cops were called we'd be fucked because my other roommate is a stoner.

The thing is my mom is doing pretty well now. She has a PET scan on Tuesday and hopefully everything is clear or she'll have to do another course of radiation and chemo to make sure it's gone. Her throat's opened up so she can can eat again, and she's gained a lot of weight and strength back. I've been driving 250 miles each way every weekend to help my parents with stuff for the last 6 months anyway.
