Dear /k/omrades,
I need a NON-auto, strong, durable, stabby, fighting, fast, folding knife like my trusty old Ti-lite
My Ti-lite has reached retirement age with a slightly sloppy lockup. I believe it could last me much longer even though I've abused the absolute shit out of it and would still handle a good defensive stabbing. I know because I stabbed the table with it many times.
If you have any suggestions on a new knife let me know, we can't carry guns here and a knife in public doesn't carry such a fierce sentence as opposed to loaded guns.
Thanks in advance

Thanks friendo, I'll do some research on these <3

Grab a torx set and take that guy apart. Sloppy lockup might simply be from crap getting caught inside of it.

Yeah, thanks. I've tried this, but i think the sloppiness is related to the deformation of the cylindrical part that stops the knife from opening further. If I still worked with lathes I'd be able to turn up a piece. I just want something knew haha

That looks more slashy than stabby, you reckon it would hold up?

ZT has some pretty over built knives, not sure if they'll fit your tastes tho. I'm still digging my kershaw cqc7k for an everyday beater though.

Yeah I got one of those, but the blade is wide and tall. Not that good for stabby defence.
Slashes aren't as bad as penetrating defensive wounds from what I'm reading.

Honestly there's not gonna be much of a difference between blade types on a pocket knife. If you want a good defensive knife look into something like a shivworks clinchpick that can be use for locking and grappling and all that fun shit. The SOCP is actually a pretty good idea too because with just the ring sticking out, it doesn't look like a knife.

This is good for stabbing, slashing and little else.
A little pricey but top notch and the wave feature makes the pull just as fast as an automatic.

I've got some CRKT, they feel kinda flimsy compared to the ti-lite. As if they wouldn't take the abuse kinda thing, ya know what i mean?
