2001 Ford Explorer Sport Track. It's in rough shape right now obviously, but I'm fixing her up. It's great for interstate travel but I hate driving it in town. It accelerates like a pregnant snail. Got damn near 60mpg down in the Florida Keys and drove it from Maine to California once. Don't recall what it cost to do so but it was markedly better than what most other cars could do.

My aunt had one of those.

Hit a raccoon going 25mph and it exploded the (entirely plastic) front bumper and valance, cored her radiator, and broke the fan (which then cut basically every hose and wire in the engine bay). Basically totaled it.

It was comfy, if a bit shy on ground clearance even by commuter-car standards.

It's a Vulcan alright, but in a car so small, it pushes 0 to 60 in less than 7 seconds. It's sluggish when you start to get into 4th gear though (it's an automatic unfortunately). I'm glad to be the only person in NOVA driving one on such good condition though.
