Depends on what you wear, i would suggest having two handguns, a full size service pistol in your preferred caliber, and a compact or subcompact in said caliber. I would suggest using an inside-the-waistband holster for appendix carry ,a bra holster, or an under the shoulder holster if you wear a jacket of some kind.

As a fellow PA anon, let me break this down for you. First of all, you're gonna need to go to your local county sherrif's department and obtain a CCW. It's quick and easy, and -usually- county sherrif's offices will let you walk right out with one in 15 minutes so long as you don't lie on your application, and so long as you have no criminal background. The reason behind you applying for one is "self defense" on the box where it asks you why you want one.

I'm on the other side of the state, and I travel to Philly almost every day. I've found that small .380 weapons are the best choice for CCW as a woman, and I'd personally recommend the P238 for a woman. However, those are kind of expensive nowadays so even a Ruger LCP or Glock 42 would work fine. Go to a local gun range that has rentals (google is your friend here), and ask if you can try them out and make sure you mention that you're planning on buying. You don't need your CCW before buying a pistol and if you do decide to buy one before getting your CCW, make sure it's locked and in the trunk, and DO NOT LEAVE IT IN YOUR CAR.

If any of these autists here say "OH .380 POCKET PISTOL IS BAD" they're wrong. It's better for you to carry than not carry at all, and due to women's clothing being tight as hell, CCWing a .380 is your best bet.

Buy a single stage reloading press and you might be able to do it. Someone above said standard .30 cal bullets should work (don't know if 7.65mm is close enough to 7.62mm) and you can reuse the cases until they eventually split. Finding dies and primers might be interesting...

All in all your better of keeping that thing around as a curio and buying something modern that uses readily available ammo.

Assuming not bait...

Deagle-brand Deagle is not a good cc gun. They are large semiautos usually chambered in magnum calibers. The problems with this are 1) big and heavy making cc difficult, 2) magnum calibers are uncomfortable to shoot for many people and follow-up shots are difficult due to high recoil, and 3) magnum rounds are likely to over penetrate and wound/kill bystanders.

If you insist on the cosplay thing go with a lightly used Walther PPK; it's been used as a "spy" gun forever and is the "official" gun of James Bond.

From what I can tell you seem to go to cons around the country. I don't think having a gun is going to help you for a couple of reasons

1. Concealed carry reciprocity varies by state most likely you won't be able to carry in half the states you plan on going to
2. No guns in cons, I assume you'll be taking public transportation at these events so you won't have anywhere to store your gun
3. From your replies you don't have the intention of really becoming proficient with your weapons, for you the gun is more of an security blanket. If you don't have the correct mindset and training youre gonna hurt yourself and others in an actual defensive situation.

For you I recommend
1. Pepper spray - easy to use minimal training required
2. Common sense as you obviously lack it- don't walk around unfamiliar cities by yourself, don't get intoxicated in unfamiliar cities, etc
