Why are ARs (Assault Rifles) so easy to obtain in the USA? They are basically military-grade weapons.
>>33641807
a populace is free only if it is as well armed as the law enforcers
>>33641807
Why are they so hard to obtain here in Europe? They are basically hunting rifles.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
>Militia
>Arms
Because the constitution explicitly states "The people should be permitted to form their own militias to defend themselves and their rights, and must be permitted access to the weapons militias would use".

Why can't I just buy an MP5SD2, America? What did I ever do wrong? It wasn't supposed to be like this.

This is the AR-15 (AR - Assault Rifle, 15 - number of bullets in the clip)
>>33641807
AR mean Armalite not Assault rifles
assault rifles are by definition select fire weapons able to full auto
assault rifles are not that easy to obtain in the usa, most are semi-auto downgraded variants and can't be considered "assault"
each state has it's own rules
have fun trying to buy anything in chicago or california, it's way easier to get a rifle in GB or France for instance
most of the assault rifle you can find in the streets in the usa are illegal and owned by criminals
btw, the more they push antigun laws, the more violence and gun crimes rise (see chicago)
murica need it's gun laws to get more freedom, that model don't apply to western europe where criminals don't have that much guns ... well that was right 5 years ago in France but laxist laws in Belgium, no frontiers and bad controls might have changed that a little

If plan on trying to get a select fire weapon in any state in yhe US,you must make application for a tax stamp thru ATF. Your best bet would find the closest class III federal firearms dealer to get the paperwork. you will have to go thru him to make the transfer. You will also have to have the local sheriff sign off on it.It is a real pain if you live in a state that hates machine guns. If plan on buying the latest model forget it. Only weapons made prior to 1984 gun control act are authorized for transfer.Thats way a 1968 M-16-A2 will cost at least $12,000-$20,000. An UZI from 1980 will run around 8,000. It would be best to contact a Class III dealer
because he is the only one that will transfer it.
>tl;dr they're not

Kek. Underpowered and low capacity. Its the 9mm 1911 of rifles.
>>33641807
Because we're expected to own a fighting rifle and up until the 1934 had access to better equipment than the military had. Even now we still can, it just takes paper work. You can build more accurate rifles than the military has without any extra work though.

Ar doesn't stand for "assault rifle" like popular belief that the mainstream media spouts off.... AR actually stands for ArmaLight Rifle.
I fell for the b8
Yum yum
