Due to the fuckstorm of snow this year there is a possibility of 2nd Lucky Slav being pushed back a month or so. Good news, I got a forged ejector, extractor and a stripper clip guide installed on my M1A.

It was getting erratic ejection and a severely compressed ejector spring was the culprit, but it was a good opportunity to upgrade to forged parts anyway.

Krausewerks in San Mateo is the best place for MilSurp guns in the bay
Imbert and Smithers in San Carlos is also good but their prices are pretty high.
City Arms in Pacifica usually has a few on their consignment racks.

Steel targets are the best. Reactive targets like clay pigeons, fruits, or soda cans or bottles also work well. Paper targets can be used if you bring a stand or staple them to cardboard boxes.

Depends on the meet and how long you want to stay. Panoche has no trees and no shade, so bring poles and tarps, easy ups, paracord, and so on to build shades for camp and the range. For most overnight meets the food policy is to bring something to share, but bring food for yourself in case what's being prepared for the camp isn't to your liking. Snacks and soda are ubiquitous. As for alcohol, if you drink a light beer or two at the range you're fine, but once you start on hard stuff you're done for the day. Common sense, in short.
Be prepared to sleep in the cold, even in the summer. Better to have it and not need it.

This Panoche we'll be featuring a Buy/Sell/Trade zone to swap ammo, milsurp gear, and other odds and ends. Even if all you have are old airsoft cammies that no longer fit, all kinds of non-firearm militaria are good to go.
(Once I get my FFL I might see if a firearm transfer table is in the cards.)
