FUCK YOU JOHN WICK IS COOL
>>
In the most literally sense of the word, it's a meme.

Every shooting stance is a meme unless you spontaneously created a new one no one has ever seen before, but the moment you told anyone else about it, it becomes a meme.
>>
Those eyes have seen some shit

I dunno, but I love redman's expression.
>>
I may only be a nip nog ching chong but when I CAR I put that pop gun so close to my face.
I hate any other mode.
>>
>>33641067
It's exactly the sort of shit that gamers come up with that has no relevance to the real world. Try doing that bullshit with someone shooting at you.

It's cool for movies and learning to shoot from retention is a good idea, but it's been around for many years now and no one other than Hollywood has adopted it.

While there have been various iterations of handgun use over the years, we have landed on something that has pretty much remained unchanged for decades:

1. Two hands on the gun.
2. Use your sights / front post being most important
3. Trigger control
4. Actually aim / most necessary at distances greater than 7m

My old man says so
He doesn't know what central axis lock is, but when he saw John Wick he said you don't create bigger profile of yourself by sticking your elbow out like that
He's been in several shoot outs so I'm inclined to believe him
>>
PING PONG CHING CHONG here.
I HATE ISOSO SHIT

WHen I shoot popping up balls from the mortars or the gopher drill.
I LOVE HOW QUICKLY I CAN TURN!
ISOSO SHIT JUST MAKES ME DIZZY.
>>
It's good for if you're sitting in a car or really really really want retention. Like anyone who tried it will tell you the high and extended stances are clownish considering you can just do isoceles if you really need that.
>>
What's the difference between this and a weaver stance?
>>
>>33643549
>is x a meme
>redpill me on x
i fucking hate this annoying bullshit as well
>>
>>33643605
Center Axis Relock is to Weaver what Weaver was to Isosceles.
>>
>>33644599

More practical for CQC?
>>

Weapons retention principles in meme form. Obviously if the bad guy is at arm's length, you can forget about using your sights and should keep your weapon guarded. If he's far enough away to warrant using your sights, use a proper stance.
