at about 3.8k rounds 80-90% steel case, the anodizing actually start to wear away.

but i am not too keen to put polymer gun parts in boiling water and fuck with it's heat treatment.

(yeah polymer is affected by heat treatment and quenching)

I would love to see you have all fde furnitures and mag dyed them all to plum. i mean handguard+grip+stock+magazine.

if you miss anything except for mag for a dry lube coated USGI instead it's trash!

you could get close to Bakelite color on fde mag too. it may look RAD along with plum furnitures

Especially if you have carbine gas system on 16".

I have tested my old psa upper with toolcraft 158cm hpt/mpi bolt with spring removed and only o ring installed, it eject reliably with only o ring. it does too with only spring. It doesn't eject reliably with only tiny rubber insert inside the spring. spring+o ring is noticeable more stiff than o ring alone or spring alone.

O ring provide substantially additional tension.

But many have reported 100% reliability with o ring removed.

I wouldnt remove o ring unless I have rifle gassed 18" or 20".

anything under that include middy o ring is better installed a additional insurance.

also. never ride your ch home and if you do, you will have to push FA to get new bolt to go in battery. this is normal. with higher round count your bolt will start going in battery easier.

I put electrical tape on my brass deflector when I shoot, so my rifle looks unused when I'm taking pictures of it later.
