Otherwise, it sucks up here, price-wise. Sure, we get *some* cheap Slav and Chink guns, but, for example, we don't get as big a savings when we build an AR vs buying one. And our weaker dollar and smaller market means guns and accessories are, generally, more expensive than in Freedomland.

Last spring I found a Benelli M2 with upgrades for $900. Had the ghost-load mod, +3 nordic mag extension, 922R compliant parts, fat charging handle and bolt release button, and a sling. I feel like I won on that one.

My favorite deal was this last Christmas. I got an Aimpoint CompM4 and 3x magnifier for $650. The dude looked like he was desperate to give his kids a Christmas. He sent me a pitiful text about a half hour after the deal, asking me if I'd give him his stuff back for a refund. I told him nah.

I bought this thing for $1000 last week. It looked good upon inspection, I don't think there's anything wrong with the barrel, which has had about 1000 rounds through it. 6.5 Creedmoor, first generation, model #18005 Ruger Precision Rifle. Came equipped with a Bushnell Elite Tactical 6-24x50 with extra high Burris Zee rings, and a Harris S-BRM 6-9 hinged bipod. The guy threw in the Pelican case too, which was about $200.

I don't know how it shoots yet though, so I'll reserve judgment on whether or not it was a good deal until I take it to the range. I think at the very least I'll be able to get my money back from someone else if it's fucked.

After he died my uncle got his '43 M1 Carbine, but hates rifles, and his kids hate guns, so I got it.
