Bootcamp: Had a friend put a stick of big red in a letter once. That was nice. Had my dad send me White Dwarf magazines to read on Sundays.

Deployed.: SOOOOOOOOCKSSSSSS!. I asked for socks once and a church group sent me and my friends like 100 pair. I was wearing them once and then throwing them out at one point. So comfy.

Cigarretes. Nice if you smoke, I guess.

Those little sugar-free drink mix tubes for water bottles.

My Mom somehow got the impression the seasons were reversed in Iraq and sent me hot-hands pocket warmers in July.

A rice cooker and a bunch of Knorr pasta and rice sides.

Snacks. Just lots of rice-crispy treats, candy, and nutrigrain bar/granola things.

Cinnamon bears. I said I liked them once and everyone in my family bulk bought them at BigLots. I still like em.

/K/s mom everybody. The one who everybody claims to have banged. And none have met.

In boot camp my mom sent lots of no bake, one for every on in my platoon and the drill sergeant's. she did this three time, we even got to eat them. We got smoked, but that did not matter at that point we all enjoyed them.
On deployments my family sent me a lot of stuff. By far some of the best were booze in a peanut butter jar, 20 pounds of jurky summer sausage, and the books lot of books. All the porn was great to that my father set, probably 200 DVD in all. Everyone in my Co. appreciate that.

Fucking banana bread

I don't know what nutrients we were missing in AIT, but banana bread was food of the gods. One guy's mom sent him some once, and after that fucking everyone was pleading for that shit in care packages. Never really cared for it before or since, but at that time, it was our fucking Brawndo.

sent out about a dozen care packages through "anysoldier" typical consisted of:

1)full size leatherman -stole a whole box from a warehouse I was doing some work in.

Got one letter back from a kid with the 3rd ID that was in Samarra. He asked for and received case of coffee packs, coffee filters, wipes, 2 sleeves of copenhagen and bunch of heat gear compression socks.

I sent my best friend a pink power ranger bathrobe (my buddy who's military said it would be funny), a two boxes of poptarts, a bunch of gummy worms, a recoil mag, and two porno mags. I wish I still had the pic of him on the deck in the power ranger robe.
