Looking at getting a Holosun HS503C. What does /k/ think of Holosun for budget red dots?
I asked a couple of weeks ago about a Bushnell red dot for my 10/22 and almost everyone recommended the Holosun if that means anything..

I have a Bushnell for my 10/22 and have put on my AR as well and it works fine. But holosun battery life and dat eotech reticle is really calling to me.

Just get the Primary Arms MD-ADS. It's a proven sight whereas I haven't seen much on the HS503C.
>>33622898
It's literally made by the same people in the same factory
>>33622988
>same OEM = same quality
This shitty meme needs to die
I have one on my scorpion, it works fine and hasn't drifted from zero after 6 months. I like the fact that it'll work as long as it's daylight without a battery
They're the gold standard for affordable optics.
Honestly 95% the quality of a T1
On the topic of red dots, I'm looking to get a micro red dot for my 22/45 and have been looking at vortex. May be Overkill for a 22, but figured it'd be a good idea if I ever wanted to use it on something bigger. Thoughts or other recommendations?

I've always been a fan of the Fastfire IIIs, you can swing em for $200 all day long.
That holosun is good to go OP, I had it on an AR for a couple years and liked it a lot. Only got rid of it because I wanted to go to something magnified.
I have a holosun. It works

>that chassis
m8 u need an upgr8
I got it on my AR. love it. Being able to switch from a dot to a "circle dot" (Eotech) is sweet. Never has drifted and yes Holosun makes all the primary arms red dots.

Don't forget you BUIS.
>>33623650
OP here, I have the magpul mbus but honestly hate them. Looking at the aero precision ones sometime dtr.

Nah I don't feel like dicking around with braces
>>33622687
Did you post because of Karl's new gun at InRangeTv?
>>33622687
It's fine. Not the best choice if you're some operator operating in shitty conditions. But you can bet your civilian lifestyle that it'll be fine for normal use.

They literally just rebrand them. They're not seconds or rejects. Only difference is the logo, the warranty, and what they come with in terms of risers and etc
Also, truglo tru tec is the same as the Holosun 403g for $100
>>33622687
For a 10/22 I'd go fieldsport micro(red dot only version) The snobs will turn their nose to it and trash it because of the price tag of $20 but I honestly can't say a bushnell trs is any better. I beat the shit out of both and they have never failed and held true and on. Quality is near the same.

You're fucking retarded and you have no clue about what goes on on the manufacturing end of things.
>>33625601
It is for AR
>>33623497
What chassis?
>>33623195
>>33625764
This. Even for products from the same factory that look the same externally, there are still plenty of potential differences between them.

Chris?

Kevin?
>>33625893
Nope
>>33622687
shill'd
>>33625840
It's like the have no clue what goes on when a distributor coughs up for the level of QC they want. It's not rocket science, the OEM will make things exactly as good as you pay them to, there is no set fucking standard they will default to.

Technically, you do have to have a battery in it, even if it's a nearly flat one. The optic will not function on solar alone without a battery closing the circuit.
