Thanks, yeah, I already took it to the range on Sunday and I like it a lot. The little holster I have for it was an impulse buy just so I could carry it right away. It's actually been pretty good so far, but I'm going to replace the clip on it.

I needed something small to CC to work since I'm not supposed to have a gun there. It tucks right in and I don't print at all with it at 5:00. No more feeling awkward while walking up the stairs, hoping I don't print to the person behind my ass at eye level.

I like the sccy too. Why seafoam? It just jumped out at you?

the sccy really did just jump out at me, im one of those guys who like odd somewhat obnoxious things,and this kinda did it for me,plus it was like 250 and ive read great stuff on them,ive ran a few hundred rounds through it,and its a great shooter desu,so im happy,plus when im in town with it i get some really odd lookswhich makes me laugh

Meanwhile, just picked this up last week off GB, planning on having it be my first carry piece, but I didn't expect it to be this nice. I just need some new grips, the hogues look nice, but arnt the best.

I'm not sure if this is the right thread for this I'm looking to make a new purchase.
I'm looking at getting my first 1911 but I know just about nothing about them and have no clue on what brands I should look at and what prices are good if I'm looking at used ones.
A couple other things does a Sig P226 that's had about 1500 rounds through it or a well used but not garbage looking HK USP 45. each of them is $550 sound good?

Rock island armory has an 8rd, 5 inch barrel, full size 1911 for $400. That is the cheapest brand I would even look at. Don't spend more than $800 on the top end.

Just bought this Beretta 92 Brigadier for $650 for my Samurai Edge build, already has the correct frame too so I don't have to jack around with buying another 92FS and swapping frames.

The DSgrips guy has been taking his merry time to reply to my e-mail though, I sent it about a week ago and haven't heard back.

Will also be sending off the slide to customized creations for the custom STARS engravings.

It's the 50th anniversary one so they made it with a 4 5/8 barrel. Except for a few super Blackhawk models 5.5 is the shortest you can get. But like you a shorty sa gets me going, and accuracy is great put about 200 rounds through it yesterday and after initially adjusting sights it's a damn tack driver
