My overall knowledge of guns is low and pretty much the choice of firearms I like is based purely on videogames, with me honestly only really wanting 4 different guns, two of them happen to prohib, and the restricted hand gun happens to have its finer points gimped because its Canada while it also sounds like a meme gun in real life.
Also, at my previous workplace most of my gun owning coworkers seemed to make restricted firearms a fucking hassle and not worth getting it, or is it because when you go full force on the hobby getting the RPAL at another time is a nuisance?
>>
>>33613426
Depends on if you have a decent range nearby.

>>33613637
FAL, G3 as the prohib, Five Seven as a handgun, and SVT-40 as a gun you can actually use for huntan, although from what I've heard its not the best and is only really good for making Americans jelly.

>>
>>33613426
>>33616066
if you actually like guns and don't just see them as a tool, you're gonna want to branch out into ARs and handguns pretty quick. Just get both licenses at the same time.

I'm sure we have a few silly bitches who didn't think ahead about wanting cool shit because muh registry or something. They always regret it then have to go through the application hassle all over again.
>>
>>33613426
You're going to regret not getting both courses at once. You're eventually going to want to get something R and then you'll have to wait a while after that instead of starting right away.
I made a video for this too.

>"We’ll be back soon! Sorry for the inconvenience."

Assuming the price you posted is legit, I'd say go for it. I wish I had a Wholesale Sports or even Cabelas in my town... no competition here, so $22 steel-cased 9mm and $370 Chinese surplus 7.62x39 runs rampant.
>>
>>33617546
They usually go for $900 or so. 575 is a good deal.
Hopefully yours is as problem free as mine.

>>
>>33617559

>>
>>33619179
Hard to argue that you're backing everyday Canadians when you support fleecing them for every calorie they eat...
>>
>>33619482
Well you're really not fleecing them. The problem with supply management is that it's essentially a state managed industry. One that isn't very flexible with supply and demand of the nation and to other nations.

People need to understand that artificially keeping prices/supply at a certain point doesn't work. It needs to fluctuate in accordance to supply and demand. It sucks when it gets expensive, but its amazing when things get cheap. At the very least you don't have to worry about running out or excessive surplus.

Whereas when you artificially fix the supply and pricing you get excesses that get thrown out or you get shortages that cause producers to scramble and try and meet the new demand.

Basic economics (while a dismal science) should be taught some in schools so people understand the basic structure of a capitalist free market society. So they can understand whether or not the politicians policies will fuck them in the short term or the long term.
>>
>>33619535
What I find most infuriating about supply management is that having to buy the quotas makes already very expensive industries completely inaccessible to anyone who isn't already really fucking rich or already in the game. We COULD have a bunch of small independently run farms spread throughout Canada meeting the needs of the area they are in, but instead we're stuck with a handful of gigantic farms with a strangle-hold on the market who then ship the product across the fucking country. The lack of competition hurts the consumer and, ultimately, the competitiveness of Canada as a country in international trade.
>>
>>33620109
Even worse is that it enables the lazy to be lazy and it hurts the hard working. If you have too many animals or too much byproduct (milk, egss, etc) being produced you get penalised and those animals/byproducts get seized/destroyed. Sometimes on the property itself, which can very traumatising and can result in emotional outburst on the part of the people against these people in authority over them.

Now, if we did away with Supply Management you bet your ass the industry would see job losses. Most certainly, but you wouldn't see it happen right away. The industry would have to adapt, and they may have to increase the amount of jobs if demand for those products goes up. It will fluctuate as per supply and demand.

The fact that there are people smuggling cheese and other dairy products tells us plenty. Heck, my dad brought in over 2-3k worth of Dairy goods from some Amish people he met in the states. Raw milk with none of the cream removed, Amish made butter, cheese and the like. It was absolutely heavenly.

My dad was completely oblivious to the laws on importing dairy. After that one trip he decided to look it up and very quickly decided that he wouldn't continue the practice. For if he had been caught he'd be in a world of hurt. What with a 200%-300% tariff on those goods he'd be unable to pay for those goods there. Those goods would have either been seized or destroyed right there for him to see. Similar to how Americans try and smuggle Cuban cigars into the states. If they are caught the cigars are destroyed in front of the person doing the smuggling and then are let go.

Lets hope that if supply management does go the way of the dodo (assuming MB gets elected as PM and such), that no subsidisation of any kind is implemented no matter how much the farmers cry out for it.

Do be ready for farmers to block highway traffic with their tractors when it happens though.

Lets say that canada is in serious need of people in service of its military. Perhaps political tensions are rising and war seems likely. Just ask yourself, is canada even worth protecting at this point? Our economy sucks, we pay way too much tax, marriage rates are down and divorce is up, so many of us dont even have families to keep safe. On average, milennials make 20% less money than their parents generation, and its all going to get much worse before it gets better.

Will you answer the call? Is that what you want to kill and die for in order to protect? You are a part of the problem, a glorified welfare queen, and worst of all, a chump if you join.
>>
>>33641618
Nice post. I see no reason to even stay in Canada at this rate. The best thing people can do now is to leave for greener pastures.
>>
>>33642130
What greener pastures? Maybe a nice amish community would be best. I could do a lame blog post about this subject and lecture for a while, but the truth is, human nature is doomed to repeat its failures, regardless of what we say about it. This isnt realy /k/ related so ill cut this short by saying that, in a nutshell, the west is fucked.

Guys, if the worst does happen, there's no way the unions binding various states and provinces together both here and south of the 49th will continue, or at least continue being as monolithic as they currently are. Smaller subdivisions of the landmass making up North America will form. Your efforts would be best spent trying to make whichever one you happen to be in (or choose to move to) be as green a pasture as it can be.

From my understanding of the bill, it seems like they are trying to cut off importation of firearms. The bill does require them to keep documentation on sales for six years, but that wouldn't track a firearm beyond whoever first purchased it unless it's a restricted or prohibited firearm.

Am I reading this right? The DOJ is funding this group with taxpayer money? And it is used to lobby politicians?

Basically. Its past events, but it shows what has been done. I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if it is happening again.

If there's a phone call describing a man with what the person calling identifies as a bomb and he walks into a store, it will raise concerns if that's all the info you have. But I can get what you're saying.

I get the public safety aspect, but it seems like a bit of an overreaction by the cops. The NCR flag was a pretty dead giveaway. What kind of bomber carries a large readily identifiable video game symbol etc?

Thats assuming that the majority of people (police included) know these things. Most people don't.

The police are in a bad spot, because if they don't answer the call on the day when something does go down then the shit hits the fan on them.
