Golden tiger is very worth it to me.
>lacquer coating superior to polymer for storage and rust prevention
>sealed from the elements at both bullet/primer ends for max possible storage life, plus the superior lacquer coating
>very consistent velocities for cheap steelcase(online tests I've seen)
>actually reaches advertized velocities from 16in barrels(look for MAC's chronograph test on youtube, wolf was clocking in 300fps slower) I can't speak for bear/tula etc off the top of my head, but I know I've seen tests on youtube on how they do on different barrel lengths
>large air pocket in front of bullet, and it yaws very fast and stays that way from what I've seen
>longer bullet than a lot of others, so yaw is more effective since more surface area
>bullet shape offers better ballistic coefficient, so it decelleratres more slowly in flight
>GT has very little to no muzzle flash from even a 16in barrel
>it's noticeably more accurate for me

I've had feeding issues and even a few FTF's with only a thousand rounds of Wolf, i'm going on 2500 of Golden Tiger without a single issue.

GT is g2g.
Definitely worth it over wolf.
Hell, it's all significantly dropped in price on SGammo since december.

ive never shot it but everything ive heard echos the feeling thats its one of, if not, the best steel cased ammo available.
would definitely pick some up, if only bc you can buy wolf or tula literally any other time. GT seems to go in and out of availability a lot.

tula is the bottom of new production factory ammo lists. the only thing worse would be damaged bullets stored badly or mystery reloads.
tula is bare minumum everything.

id take tula over anything corrosive, but mainly bc i dislike cleaning. generally, for 7.62x39, i buy whatevers cheapest but i avoid tula if i can only bc of the ammonia smell and bc wolf is usually about the same price

What about milspec Wolf with sealant by Barnaul vs GT? $25 cheaper doesn't seem like a lot, but that's 10%.

Golden Tiger is definitely the better cartridge, I get it when I can find it. That said I have had no issues with wolf and there is nothing really wrong with saving a bit of money.

It's not the primary reason for self contained cartridges by any means, protection from elements just a nice side-effect. It's still not 100% impervious by any means without proper sealants.

you need to buy a couple boxes and try it through your rifle. my sks shoots groups about 2-3x larger with golden tiger than wolf. it hates golden tiger.
