What are the laws in USA on displaying guns in your home?
>>
>>33602887
depends on the state

In Massachusetts they have to have a trigger lock or cable lock and be inside a locked case.

Nothing. Display away. Keep out of reach of kids but that's for safety, not for law.
>>
>>33603133

That's not true. I don't know if Mass has a statute on that, but the Supreme Court ruled that trigger lock requirements violate the right to self defense.
>>
>>33602899
It's probably like here in Iowa. There's a law that the gun cannot be accessible to a minor. So if you have kids in the house lock it up or keep it with you. The only way to actually get charged though is if your kid takes your gun and shoots somebody or some shit.
>>
>>33602899

As someone who lives in the communist nation known as New Jersey, we don't have any laws regarding gun storage here. The only law we have is that if a minor lives in your home, your gun has to be out of their reach (carry it on you, keep it in a locked box, etc). If there's no minors in the home, go nuts.

You should check your homeowners/renters insurance policy for an 'attractive nuisance' clause. If you hang a gun rack in the front room where it is visible through the window from the street and someone breaks in and steals your guns, you may not be covered.

Just common sense, really.
>>
>>33604472
we know you're a retarded oilfield hick but look up how to resize and compress bitmaps, 2.41mb is just embarrassing

Fuck your gun display laws. It's my house, my gym, and I'm going to flex if I want to.
>>
>>33604665
I mean, it's already compressed as a .jpg . I think what you're talking about is resolution, and while 3264x2448 is rather large, it is fine. Although it is a fucking atrocity being 4:3 aspect ratio instead of 16:9, how do you even get a camera that is that resolution, yet is in 4:3? I mean, maybe I'm stupid, but this doesn't really seem conducive to modern monitors or anything, maybe it's nice for framing as a picture or some shit?

a bitmap isn't inherently a .bmp, bitmap is nomenclature for raster image formatting. In fact it's the only correct baseline terminology for raster image formatting.

His image is insanely stupid fucktard huge for no benefit, not going to continue to rant, just absurd, this is /k/ not barfcom

The only 6:9 setting on my camera is 4608 x 2592 at 12M

Don't know about other states but I know they don't try to police your guns inside your home in Florida.
Then again, in Florida loli is considered the same as real child porn, so take that as you will.
>>
>>33602887
Only rule is dont let cucks in your house and keep the windows closed in the room where they are
>>
>>33604940
I would prefer that, then go into paint afterwards and resize them to 1920x1080 or something else common, then if people want to they can use it as a background or something. Though I don't know how often you want to do that to all of your files to keeps space free on what I presume is a SD card.
>>
>>33604907
So what you're saying is I should start a meth lab, and I'm fine as long as I'm on my property, right?

>>
>>33605286
in a free country, you would be.
>>
>>33602899
Damn son, in NY we only have to be given a trigger lock when buying by law and even then are only required to use it if there are minors in the household.
>>
>>33603219
If there's kids around, you'd be liable if anything were to happen. That's why those laws exist. No one's gonna arrest you just for having some on display.
>>
>>33602899
1-800-Cuck

I leave my guns laying around.
>>
>>33602887
I leave unsecured, loaded rifles out when I'm at work.

I suppose that's stupid from a theft standpoint, but my point is that this is America and no pinko legislature is going to tell me what to do with my guns inside my own house.

None as far as I know but it can vary from state to state. Think of federal government as mom and dad while every state is a kid. Each kid will do things a bit differently and sort of follow the ground rules to put it in very simple terms. The bigger question is who the fuck is going to enforce a law about displaying in your own home so long as the gun isn't jammed in a window?
>Commiefornia is that kid who would go through fits of [autistic screeching] and then be perfectly calm seconds later.
>>
>>33605286
Technically if you left no evidence which is near impossible, yes. If nobody knows of it then you can't be judged for it.
