all the countries that manufacture AKs got their factories built and their tooling paid for by their communist governments so they had no start up cost or investment they needed to recuperate when they transitioned to selling on the private market but when an American company tries to start making AKs they have a high initial setup cost and as such need to charge a fair amount for their rifles or cut corners to match Eastern Bloc counterparts in price but then if the rifles are in similar price brackets why wouldn't you purchase the eastern bloc rifle made in a military factory.

OK, but I think underfolders, while looking good in photos, are horse shit to use vs normal stocks.
They don't line your eyes up quickly with irons and I find them to be pretty uncomfortable.
HK collapsible stocks are kindof similar, look ok, but shit to use.
