Looking into getting myself a new hunting knife in the $45-80 range. I'd like it to be lightweight and packable. Otherwise, I'm just looking for suggestions. I was looking at the crkt onion Skinner, thoughts on that?

squash. My last good squashing cat died on me this winter. Gonna take a while before my new one is old enough to hunt.
I seriously love the duck out of this blade. Great for edc, hunting, *lighter* hiking and bushcraft

My waterfowler has been a good knife. Full tang and keeps a good edge, really maneuverable. You can clean big game with a small knife easier than you can clean small game with a big one. That being said, it's not a survival knife, and if you plan on being in the real back country with only one knife you'll want something bigger. I carry this and a hatchet when I camp.
