Do you think a 22 grain .22 pellet shot at point blank, with oil in the barrel, can go through a human skull. Approximated velocity with oil would be in the 1200-1300 fps, normally it would be around 700 to 800 fps

I got 83 ft/p at 1300fps, enough to pierce the skull, but even at 1000fps we are talking about 40+ ft/p, I think that is lethal too.
answer you powder addicted burgers, air guns are the future, embrace them.
you know even shooting .22lr is more expense, loud, and less fun
with an airgun you get lots of kills, you have fun, dont make noise, and dont spend tons of money on bullets, or permits, or countless other hassles.
Face it, if you want to kill someone you can just make a shotgun 1 shot blaster. For sport shooting, airguns are superior.

sad euro

Burger here, I like air guns and own and shoot a couple, but what the fuck is going on here?
It sounds like your compressing fuel in the barrel to create an explosion or something.
Please advise.

Can't, too busy shooting my real guns.

exactly, oil in the barrel will ignite due to the air compression, just like a diesel engine, the shot will no be accurate at distance though due to the vibrations.
You can get an .30 cal airgun that will deliver 80 ft/p always, so there is no need to do this. I was thinking in theory, a dieseled .22 break barrel will kill a human, I think.

Well, I'd be interested to see a test of sorts. Maybe get a scull from a butcher or something.
I had no idea people were doing this with airguns. Sounds messy.

I wouldnt do it on a nice gun, probably will rekt it eventually.

check this video, I think he is using a lighter pellet, the velocity/mass ratio gives a bit less energy than the example I used, still a lethal shot.

ye ol 3 in 1 oil

>probably will rekt it
Yeah. Seems like there would be lots of potential for blowing out seals.
