If you had one to three sentences to impart your most important piece of wisdom to improve rifle marksmanship, what would it be?

I find myself getting loose groupings of around 4-6" at 25 and 50 yards depending on the rifle, and would really like to improve upon my mechanics.

Trigger CONTROL

Use your skeleton. Like don't rely on muscles to maintain alignment. Whenever possible keep forces tuning straight through one axis rather than juggling two forces. In English doesn't make much sense I suppose but just think pulling the rifle straight down into your hand, which is in line with your elbow, etc rather than holding the rifle up and attempting to maintain alignment left to right with muscles.

Steady position, proper sight picture, breath control and trigger squeeze.

Stability, repeatability, control

No offense, but this is a little too general of advice. Looking more into specifics that are usually overlooked. Something to try to keep in mind while I work on the fundamentals and get more trigger time.

Do not point it at your face. Aim the rifle using your eyes and the pointy bits on the end. Make sure your cases have bullets in them already before you try to fire them, it's super embarrassing.

What they said wasnt general. You need to be steady, which means either lay down or use sandbags. You need to make sure your sight picture is perfect, which i find my eyes become fatigued relatively quickly, after maybe 5 rounds or so, so i like to take a little break and close both of my eyes until theyre ready again. And most importantly trigger control. You shouldnt even start putting pressure on the trigger until your front sight is exactly where you want it. From then you pull the trigger as slowly as you can, you want the trigger to surprise you every single time.

consistent site picture and zero off that
