i use a duffle bag i got for free. needs organization though. i always have to dig through tons of shit to get to stuff on the bottom

I've got pic related, use it to carry one AR and two handguns with a handful of magazines for each and misc items. I dump and carry my ammo in Plano ammo cans.

I did use my old backpacks and whatnot as range bags initially, but I bring so much stuff that the sheer weight of the ammo and gear tears and rips the bags up.

I'd like something sturdy that is built to handle what I'm hauling.

Agreed. I use mine for eyes, ears, target stapler, and binocs. Much more and it'll fall apart.

NRA's free bag gets the job done if you mostly go with one gun tho I placed extra cardboard in the bottom to give it some more strength.
