Looks like those slant lady boys that make 1911's had some Garand's hidden in their butts

http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2017/04/07/breaking-civilian-marksmanship-program-receive-86000-m1-garand-rifles-philippines/

>inb4 retirees buy all of them within the year and sell them at the gunshow with the CMP tag still on

hopefully the CMP lowers the allowance from 6 a year to like 3.
>>
how much does this shit cost

$600-$1200ish depending on the condition.

I got mine for $750~ and it functions flawlessly. If you're not looking for a collection grade one, they're actually not that expensive.
>>
>>33578023
what about all those M1 carbines?
they need to be repatriated too god dammit
>>
fuck yeah man I was wanting to get one last year but 41F happened. I'll grab one this time
>>
>>33578176
What is 41F?
>>
>>33578289

Change to NFA tax stamps.
He probably sent a bunch in to beat the new-rules deadline.
>>
>>33578398
yup 16 to be exact
>>
>>33578161
Korea is garands and carbines, different thing since Korea actually owns them.
>>
Nice if CMP didn't make you jump through hoops of bullshit to order from them
>>
>>33578474
3200 cuckbucks?
>Dont tread on me!
>Stomp me harder!
You faggots are everything wrong with modern gun owners.
>>
>>33578138
https://thecmp.org/cmp_sales/rifle_sales/m1-garand/
>toward the bottom of the page
Looks like the cheapest right now is $830
>>
>>33578023
>hopefully the CMP lowers the allowance from 6 a year to like 3
Don't know why they didn't make it 1 in the first place. Every time I go to a gunshow I see fucking rack grade CMP's going for $1200 and service grade for $1500.
>>
>>33580454
>cheapest right now is $830
FUCK. might as well just buy a new one from Fulton Armory or someplace
>>
>>33580454
That page is the same as it was 3 days ago.
>>
>>33580528
Unless you REALLY have a hard-on for Garands, it makes more sense to buy a used one through CMP. Obviously a brand new one will be in better shape cosmetically, but it's still using WWII era firearm technology (inb4 it's not outdated) and mechanically and functionally, the rifles are going to be very similar. You won't get much more accuracy from a brand new rifle compared to an issued one. Also the Fulton M1 rifles start at $2000, so you'd be paying well over twice the price for mostly cosmetics (you could restore the wood on an original for <$100 over a weekend). For a match grade new production M1 (built for accuracy), you would pay about $3000 - at that point you would be wiser to buy the $830 issued M1 and spend the rest on a new M1A/M14 with a scope.
>>
Did they already get them or are they just talking about it now
>>
>>33578023
>allowance from 6 a year to 3

It should be 2 maximum and people who already own CMP weapons should have lower priority than people who don't.
>>
I care more about accuracy and mechanical reliability than pretty wood (but I don't want completely fucked up wood either). Which CMP grade is right for me?
>>
>>33580528
Just get that one, it's new production for the most part except for the receiver.
>>
>>33578023

Should fucking lower it to 1.

Their purpose is to promote marksmanship, isn't it? Not promote scalper prices because retired Elmer doesn't have anything better to do but buy out the rack, hoping his kids don't send them off to be melted down in exchange for $50 WalMart gift cards when medical technology can no longer save him.
>>
>>33581037
Fuck off commie
>>
>>33581086
he's right, how many fucking garands do you need to learn how to shoot assclown
>>
>>33581261
>NEED

Fuck off brady bunch

If you want one, then GIT GOOD instead of relying on the government for handouts like a welfare nigger.
>>
>>33581261
>>33581330
>If you want one, then GIT GOOD instead of relying on the government for handouts like a welfare nigger.

This. Stop being a poor faggot who doesn't have money "at the time" when Garands become available. Mail in your order when the next batch comes through like everyone else, you whiny cunt.
>>
>>33578154
>tfw unemployed, poorfag NEET

I'd give my left nut for even a rack grade Garand

I just want a Garand goddammit, it would go great with my M1897
>>
>>33581388
Mine was service grade, cost me $1050 for my rifle and a few hundred rounds of spec ammo. Ammo was delivered in about two weeks from my order being mailed, rifle took 5 months to the day to arrive.

Most definitely worth it though, I love my Garand more than any of the other 10+ guns I own.
>>
>>33581419
>10+ guns I own

lel. Tell us when you get out of babby stages.
>>
>>33581463
That's currently, you kike. I've had 60~ or so pass through my hands at one point or another. Garand is still my favorite of all time, which was my point.
>>
>>33580718
This

>some old cunts max out every year with express intent of reselling them at 2x the price they paid
>that old cunt with like 100 garands planning to use the cash to retire

If you try and sell a CMP garand you should lose the garand and never be allowed to buy from CMP again. It defeats the whole fucking purpose.
>>
>>33580237
So...you're the kind of gun owner that builds shit that falls under NFA, but neither mentions it or shows it aside from a very private range trip to test for function?

Everyone complaining about purchasing limits should know that the CEO of the CMP has stated before that less than 5% of CMP customers even purchase their yearly limit of 8 rifles. I know a few guys that own over a dozen, but most own 3-4 even if they really like Garands just to round out their collection of the 4 manufacturers or maybe have a safe queen, a shooter and a match rifle.

>>
>>33580846
What does that Rifle Grade mean? "Fucking Great"?
>>
>>33584606
Fair,Good
>>
They were looked at in the 1990's from imports and they passed on them due to condition, this was 20 years ago I'm sure they look like absolute shit now if they did then.
>>
>>33584673
importers I mean
>>
>Wanting a Garand
>wanting a unreliable POS that will break if it shoots full power 30-06

>>
>>33578023
I'm looking forward to being able to get one. Don't hoard them you fags.
>>
>>33582337

Bet your the kind of fag who has don't tread on me patches but makes sure his AR is California compliant
>>
Hopefully, we'll get some more Carbines and those 1911s.
>>
>>33585143
But I don't live in California?
>>
>>33581377

The point of the CMP program is promoting marksmanship. The rifles are there to let everyone who wants to learn to shoot be able to afford one and practice, not for jews to hoard and re-sell.
>>
>>33584644
It's field grade nigga
>>
>>33581495
>I've held 60 different guns
Impressive I can't even imagine how you managed that.
>>
>>33584673
>>33584679
They are US goverment property, why would private importers be looking at them?
>>
>>33586045
By using my hands mostly, and twice my feet.
>>
>>33580016
It's not that complicated, Do you know any other way you can you get a rifle shipped straight to your house if you don't have a FFL. Just hang yourself.
>>
>>33581377
Second this.
>>
>>33580016
They are literally the easiest hoops to jump through that have ever been put forth by a quasi-governmental agency.
>>
>>33580846
service grade

rack grades are garbage, fields are worn, service is ok, special/correct/collector/sniper are for great but expensive.
>>
Do I assume correctly that garand prices should drop dramatically if the cmp does actually get these? Because $830 for a gun my grandpa considers old is stupid.
>>
>>33586428
Nope. Not by much anyway.
They'll let them trickle out in order to keep prices up and themselves employed.
>>
>>33586428
additionally, it really depends upon their condition. CMP has really been scraping the bottom of the barrel for some time. Even specials are frequently reblued, pitted-to-hell parts guns.

A fresh influx of better quality guns and parts may even increase prices.
>>
>>33586428
Well those $830 ones are refinished and have new barrels and stocks. The field grade ones were like $630, I was gonna buy one but I am going to move in a few months so I couldn't since their shipping takes so long, sold out end of January this year.
>>
>>33580528
well, those do have new barrels and stocks
those are also more expensive than in the past because they were running out of the cheap stuff
these 86k will probably drive prices down
>>
>>33580016
>pay $30 to join the Garand Collector's Association (cheapest national affiliate club)
>have a hunter's safety card (most require live fire) or else get an RO at a range to sign a target to prove that you shoot
>acquire Garand
>>
>>33584673
those are the Korean ones, not the Flip ones
>>
>>33584594
I'm going to assume 1911 and garand, what's your shotgun choice?
>>
>>33578023

>garands all over the fucking place if this happens

I don't care about the 100% matching parts or not being reblued/refinished nonsense; I just want a cheap ping-o-matic rifle that's in good firing condition.
>>
>>33585143
>>33585393
But I do and see too many of you twinkfuks that be all like
>ok your highness, I'll slap all this shit on
>and take those off
>and get rid of all that.
>Am I compliant now???
U fuggers need to hang right next to all the deep-state leftist commie scum.
>COME TAKE EM
Yo jackboots, EATADICK
>>
>>33585143
The way CA works is that you make sure that the one you take to the range is compliant. The one you keep in the safe for SHTF, on the other hand....
>>
>>33587345
>The way CA works
Jesus h goddam christ, right on cue.
>wasting money onna gimpgun
ftfy Stop paying for the privilege to hang out with the special ed crowd. Don't have a /k/omrade who owns acreage, well, take a drive and git u some of that blm then.
