I was grinning like an idiot after i put 100 rounds through it. Had to buy ammo from the range to put through the rental, so didn't want to spend more than that. High bore axis is a meme. I liked the trigger and I felt the recoil was very manageable. The feel in the hand was just right for me too. The USP I own is a compact in .40. No bully, I bought it new back in 2002. I'd like a full size in 9, or maybe another compact. Never touched a LEM trigger so I don't know what I would be getting into if I got one. People hate on the USP trigger, but I don't mind it, but I never really got into guns until I joined the Army, and .mil triggers are not competition grade triggers. They are meant to only go off when you really mean for them to.

Decent gun. Bad trigger. If you don't mind spending 100 for a new trigger go for it.

They have metal mags. Easy to switch out back straps. Can be stripped without pulling the trigger.

I like the look of the gen 1 better. The gen 2 has a slightly better trigger I hear. But I haven't fingered one.

Also if you buy one with a safety, you can take it out and get the spacer from smith&wesson for free. Kinda neat.

Overall I like mine.

Glock 34. You should be able to get that, plus a trigger and sights and a good competition holster for around 1k give or take.

Next one will probably be a Buckmark, or an AK pattern rifle. Either a WASR or an N-PAP.

Best bang/buck. Folding gimmick is really nice but requires quite a few extra accessories if you want to use it with an optic (you do). Trigger is bad, charging handle is uncomfortable and very stiff, and bare metal as a cheekrest is unpleasant, but all are fixable with additional jewish fiat currency in aftermarket. $500 and under is a good deal.

Quality rifle, very left handed friendly due to its ambi design. Good to go out of the box but considered by many to be overpriced for what is essentially a dolled up blowback gun. Anything at or under around $600 for one is a good deal.

An outdated design that is laughably heavy, but also pleasant to shoot and reminiscent of soldier of fortune days. A classic. Get this if you want a cool gun, don't get it if you want a good gun. Expect to pay at least $900, though finding one is going to be harder than paying.

Roller delayed blowback makes this the most pleasant of the list to shoot. It also makes it the most overpriced at typically at least 1.5k. That's not worth it to almost all gun owners, is it worth it to you? You'll be the coolest guy on the block with your 90s SWAT aesthetic but you will literally never hear the end of how you supported terrorism by buying one.

Not sure what to get for a first gun desu, might just some some .22lr or a mosin while they're cheap.
