They are about on the same playing field as wasr ak's, reliability wise.

The only difference is that yugo ak's are designed different, so the abundance of furniture do not fit unless it's a pistol grip. There is a 50 dollar part you could order that makes other stocks compatible with the yugo ak, and there are handguards made for the yugo available for purchase.
