hey /k/ how do you damage a gun? i been thinking with all this gun prevention/restriction talk going on we could find a clever way to disable the gun rather than the shooter
shoot it
>>33564936
Long term
>fire steel case
>leaving bullets in chamber (wears out the chamber
>not wiping off oil after cleaning (leads to hydrostatic overpressure)
>shooting it (it does wear out the gun)
Short term
>break the gun
>mud test
>overpressure loads (see glocknade retard meme)
There is a lot more, but this is just to start the conversation

Put your finger in the barrel

Your level of samefagging is unreal.
Im on to you Zed.
>>33566072
this guy gets it
Put an over length cartridge in every box of ammo.dedicated shooters will measure every round to make sure they don't feed it, morons will blow their guns up

>pour beans on an M1
Guess you could say it's a car...bean now.

>>33564965
wiping off oil?
Is it bad that i put a wet patch down barrel before i put away? I dont patch it before i shoot?
>>33566070

>>33564965
>>leaving bullets in chamber (wears out the chamber
>leaving static, non-expanding objects that are softer than chamber material will damage said chamber
>>33564936
>what is exploding ammunition
We've only been doing it since ww2
>>33566560
I fucking hate it when you pretend to be me you chucklefuck
>>33567506
Okay, so im not the only one that struck as odd.
I have heard leaving muzzleloaders loaded long term was bad for them since the powder isn't enclosed in a cartridge.

>I have heard leaving muzzleloaders loaded long term was bad for them since the powder isn't enclosed in a cartridge
Only if it's blackpowder muzzleloader since it's corrosive. Modern smokeless powder is not corrosive.
Even then, you would need to wait a real long time for corrosion to take place. Months if not years.
I leave my cap&ball remington 1858 loaded all the time and unload/clean it about every 2 weeks, no corrosion so far.

I do that too to prevent any surprise rust where you cannot see it but, I always dry the bore before shooting.
Once I was on my way to the range, with my .22LR bolt. Almost there, and i realized i left my patchworm with clean patches home.
Cursed and sweared like a blasphemous infidel but i did back all the way home to get the patchworm and not shoot it wet.
>>33566546
If you don't dry oil out of the barrel, it creates a huge ass smoke cloud. I know because I've done this as well with a .22.
