I have the regular MBUS Pro on one rifle and the offset MBUS Pro on the other rifle. They are nice and slim but I never used them except for zeroing so that's about as much as I can tell you.

I just put a Sprinco Enhanced Blue in one of my rifles and it came with a small bottle of machine gun lube and it says to lube before install.

I've never lubed or greased a buffer spring in any of my rifles.
