The USP Pistol, the G3 and the MP5 is the only good things they make that is good. Still over priced though.

However, with AR-15 pistol carbines and pistol caliber ones as well...the MP5 has kind of been dying off in America and is only stubbornly still in use by police departments that shelled the big bucks for them back In the 80's and 90's and the British Police.

I don't hate H&K but their shit is a bit over hyped and has a name brand tax just like colt 1911's versus similar priced 1911's from other makers.

I really love the USP, but really all it has going for it is better ergonomics and aesthetic, other wise it's just a glock functionally but they charge an extra 400 bucks because it has H&K on it.

Their fanboys are toxic as hell and most other owners are either Hollywood Armorers, 1980's soldier of fortune magazine subscribers who think caseless ammo is thing that will happen and video game kids.

I like the look of the UMP, even with the stupid 16" barrel, it's being stuck with the USC that I can't stand.
More than $1k for a PCC and I would have to spend probably $500 more to get rid of the stupid stock and get the right magazines. My beef is with import/export restrictions, not H&K.

Had a lot of time with the MP5's and USP when I was in the army and they really are in the case of the MP5, a really sweet little gun. They're old, but damn they just feel so fucking great to shoot

USP, can't really complain about it, feels fine, shoots well and does the job. You can probably hunt around and find an equivalent or something better suited to your price range like a SIG or Walther, but if you can snag one for cheap that's in good nick, don't pass it up without a consideration.

Have an older MR762 I use for doing professional pest destruction, it cost a small fortune at the time (but has since been written off at least financially on tax returns) and I managed to hide the paper trail from my wife so she didn't murder me in my sleep. It's performed well above my expectations and is some pretty serious shit when it comes to delivering accurate fire. Being a relatively modern rifle they also don't weigh too much so you can ruck one all day and not feel like its beating you up

.40 S&W has basically no taper to it. Box magazines for it therefore do not require a tilting follower or to curve forward. It's a hell of a lot easier to design a reliable .40 S&W magazine than a 9x19 one.
