That's from water obstructing the bore and simulating a squib.

You will notice in the same video when they test the other rifle they let the bore drain first.

Any gun regardless of action will get rekt by an obstructed bore, unless you're shooting purpose built hydrodynamic ammo out of an APS or something. It's not like you can drill drainage holes in the barrel.

When all of the tests showed the AK to be more reliable they were arguing that these tests where retarded and not real-world. Now that they have ONE test that the AR did better in the test is legit and AKs are trash.

This is really what it comes down to, rifle is fine. Doesn't matter much which one you choose. For a go-to rifle in the USA it's my opinion that it must accept STANAG mags and shoot 5.56. For that reason I chose the AR, not because of some fictional (and flawed) reliability test.

Clearance is the measure of space between parts in an assembled product.
