It's usually been my 22cal pellet rifle.
VZ58 or vepr12 if I'm just out for some shorter lived backyard shits and giggles.

The 177 gun is 1300fps and the 22cal is 1000fps.
I use 10.5gr pellets on the 177 guns and 14.3gr pellets on the 22cal. They both end up running around the 900fps mark in reality because of that.

When they were still importing the ammo: Mosin, 1/2 of a spam can, bunch of garbage at ranges between 50- 350 yards. Shoot all afternoon.

I like my M&P 15-22 and my H&K MP5-22 meme gun for plinking. Buddy's neighbour owns a nice piece of farmland/woods so we load up his truck with shitloads of guns, ammo, gear and head out for a good 4 hour session. Set up paper targets, soda cans, water balloons hanging from stuff. other crap at ranges 30-150yds. head to Cabela's on the way out pickup at least 500rds of 22. Do 75% of my shooting with those and a couple other 22s because it's cheaper than with our ARs, AKs, 308s, Mosins etc.

My shit eating sks is the go-to plink machine

Being able to shoot a full power rifle round for dirt cheap was really special for me. So was shooting so much at 250- 440 yards with open sights. Not an experience many of us get to have, and not one I will be likely to get much of again.

I change constantly. During the winter it was my WASR, but lately it's my AR because I have a bunch of XM855 I want to use up.

My uncle and I got hold of some used billiard balls. I've lobbed 7.62 AK and 9x19 with no real effect, but 5.56 makes them fucking explode.
