40 is better then 45 becuase it has more cap,and has more velocity and penetration.

It's better then 9mm becuase it's slightly bigger and has more velocity and penetration since high pressure round.

Would parrot the suggestion of a G22 over a G23. You can have a grip chop done later if you only can afford one gun and want to conceal it easier. Also there are conversion barrels for the 40 s&w pistols that will allow you to shoot 9mm. Or buy the Swiss army knife of Flocks and go with the G20. Stock it shoots a humdinger 10mm, drop in barrels allow 40/357 sig/9mm/9x25 Dillon, add a G21 slide with barrel & magazine for fudd action 45 ACP. It would allow you to get into multiple calibers cheaper. Protip: hold a full-size G20 (same as G21) if it feels huge find the SF model, the difference is small but noticable.

Would you rather buy a $20 extractor after thousands of rounds or spend $2-4 more per box of ammo? If a range trip is 150-300rnds that's $6-$24 saved right there. Multiply by twice a month for a year puts you at $144-$576 annual savings by using steel case. The steel case puss argument rustles me.
