Is anyone interested in making "John Wick" themed/styled patches? A few friends of mine asked me to inquire about whether or not /k/ is interested in such patches since I'm the only one actively lurking on /k/ patch threads. If there is no demand for such patches, then I don't mind one bit since all of you are busy with various other designs.

I guess this isn't much of an idea or anything... is it? Wick is very much /k/ approved, but if there's not much demand, I guess there's not much it can be done. A lot of the Wick related patches out on the market are kinda "meh" in a sense where /k/ would perhaps point out its flaws in regards to design. I mean, Wick stuff are "normie enough" in a sense where you'd want strangers to pass by and say "hey, nice Wick patch, where'd you get it from?"

I know as for me, I wore some of 2hu's patches during Autumn and some people recognized what they were (the area I live in is filled with otakus).

I'm entirely new to this, so this is just speculation, but wouldn't a custom, oddly shaped patch be more expensive to manufacture than a simple shield design?

Plus I can't even trace her eyepatch to save my life, so that mockup is as far as I can go with "just throwing an idea out there"

I've done everything I can. I even talked to Skinwalker for advice and switched to a Rate-Based shipping option. What you pay is literally what USPS is charging to ship it.

Everything is First-Class Package. I don't and can't do letters which would be First Class Mail, which although cheaper also means they're not tracked, take longer, get lost and in the case of anyone ordering wood patches I cannot use because if you've ever tried to hand those envelopes over the counter the USPS dude takes out a cardboard sheet with holes and if the letter is too thick to fit into the holes you can't use an envelope.

I use Shopify and they have a really, really stubborn shipping system. The Rate-Based thing is brand new, but before rate-based they only offered shipment by weight and shipment by price. Price is useless. By weight hardly works because the weight isn't the issue, it's the thickness of the patches going into an envelope.

There is no way with Shopify to say "X is thick and big. If X is added to the order it needs to be shipped via -this- method"

As long as I sell WoodPatches I'm kind of stuck. Shipping typically goes $3.50 - $4 now which is better than the flat rate I had before to cover a variety of package sizes but I'm not sure what else I can do. I'll take advice if you guys have any but shipping has always been my biggest hurdle with my wood.
