That looks a lot like the giant proto drum magazine for the 1911 that Ian reviewed.
That wind-up extendo-mag there reminds me a lot of the one Nomar made for 1911s. Very similar design, at least.
I don't know of any air pistols/rifles that were slide action, though. I want to say it's a custom job overall.
Lads, have any of y'all seen a Nagant M1895 revolver done as a carbine? The idea has really, really enamored me as of late.

It's been done.

>>33553033
Fairly reliable. Simple internals make it easy to clean. Sights are front post with rear aperture, like an AR, but on mine it shoots too far to the right, and I can't drift the front sight enough to zero it without drifting it right out of the gun. I just aim one sight post width to the left of whatever I'm shooting at and I can hit a soda can sized target within 50 yards. This is an old charter arms model. I'm betting the new ones by Henry are better.

I recognize the fucked up mag, which I'm sure others here must have a well. It was developed during or before WWI, and supposedly some were sold to the US Military (or they considered buying some) for the M1911 pistol. Seen it on an a video of Forgotten Weapons.
As for everything OTHER than the mag, looks like a whole lot of nothing. A whole lot of fucked-up nothing. Oh, also, I can't remember the mag capacity of said fucked-up mag. Maybe 42 rounds or something like that?

>>33548868
this would actually work really well, since the nagant seals itself and prevents that blow-by shit.
Then again, the x38r or whatever the nagant used was such a impotent round already, it'd basically be a spitball coming out of such a huge barrel.

>>33556929
As someone who has owned 6 TT-33 pistols before, I must disagree. That's looking A LOT like a Tokarev design. Mag, mag release, angular cuts at the end of the slide, barrel bushing, recoil spring plug, rear sight, slide serrations, slide stop... admittedly the grips look a bit odd, even in their general shape, but I'm used to seeing plastic grips with a more rectangular top. Speaking of top, the markings above the grip panel also screams TT.

I feel compelled to post this.
This is some demonic bastardization I came up with. Basically taking the "scout rifle" concept beyond what Col. Jeff Cooper could ever dream about (minus scope, I don't like glass). Effectively making the most practical bolt action rifle with circa 1940s technology.
It boils down to:
>short as shit barrel, I didn't do this to scale so I don't know what length it is, but imagine a 10-14" 7.92x57mm rifle in that length
>underfolding MP38/40 style stock because it's rock and roll awesome
>FG-42 muzzle brake because they're actually really good
>MP38/40 style bakelite stock because aesthetics and this is what the time period had to offer in terms of polymers. Also, it's a great material that both looks and feels GREAT
>MG13 style magazine that can hold 20-25 rounds of 7.92x57mm - maybe removeable, maybe charged by stripper clips
I honestly would pay over $1000 for a well made reproduction of this image. It makes my dick hard. Harder even than that Enfield, and I prefer Enfields over Mausers (I own both).

My dude. Congratulations; you did not succumb to the "Mauser is best 'cuz muh copies" meme. As for the Mauser carbine, very cool. The only thing I was wrong about was the mag. Admittedly I never heard of an MG13, but I spotted all the rest, including the FG-42 muzzle brake. Let's be honest though; a muzzle brake on a bolt-action? A bit silly, don't you think? Then again that rifle is going to be light as fuck and firing the big ol' 8mm Mauser which was the hottest-loaded standard-issue Infantry cartridge of WWII so I guess it would indeed help keep one's shoulder intact.
>>33562833
>MG13
Why bolt action though?
>>33562995
I am fully aware that I am autistic as shit. I have no regrets.
>>33563013
The MG13 magazine, along with a few others, were often made into ersatz style weapons, so it's entirely possible.
A muzzle brake would be useful both as a measure ot reduce recoil to the shooter and dispersing the muzzle flash. The FG-42 style brake was well known for doing both, as is seen in the Swiss adoption of such a brake in their """"SNIPER"""" rifles, all of which are based off the K-31 pattern, bolt action rifle.
Again, I stated already that this is a silly, non-sensical, try-to-make-my-penis-hard-style situation. I never meant to make this a realistic situation. But I will say again, I would pay said amount of money to purchase a version of said rifle, if it were produced accordingly and with actual quality.
>>33563027
Only for the fact of """"modernizing"""" a bolt action rifle. A semi-auto is both easier to mass produce and design.
AGAIN I JUST LIKE THE WAY THIS COMPLETELY PHOTOSHOPPED IMAGE LOOKS, AS IT IS A BOLT ACTION RIFLE THAT I A THOROUGHLY PHOTOSHOPPED INTO SOMETHING THAT IS BARELY A DREAM - THIS IS NOT SOMETHING THAT COULD REASONABLY BE MADE INTO A RIFLE, I JUST LIKE THE WAY IT LOOKS, AND WOULD LIKE TO OWN ONE IF I WAS DRUNK ENOUGH TO PAY FOR IT, AND THE SUBSEQUENT DESIGNERS WERE ALSO DRUNK ENOUGH TO ACCEPT MY CASH.
Just, please, enjoy my photoshop as it is.

I wouldn't mind a leveraction in .500 S&W. I wonder what kind of velocity that round could get with a 20" barrel... bet it'd be awesome for hunting. Moose, brown bear, elk, it'd decimate their heart/lungs area.

Satan trips get, and almost at 11:11:11, at least in Newfoundland time. I dedicate it to my most recently self-published book, Living amongst the Dead: Dark Days. Sorry for the shilling, /k/ommandos. Maybe this is a sign that I should include a lever-action in .500 S&W in the book I'm currently working on. As it happens I DID write in a lever-action in .45-70... perhaps I should change it? Wouldn't be difficult.
