I'm looking at moving up to Vermont in the next few years for a variety of reasons. From the looks of it they are pretty chill when it comes to gun laws are there any VT Bros here that can say whether it's a /k/ friendly state?
>>
>>33546612
Vermont.
>>
>>33546892
Yes, Vermont.
>>
>>33546612

Vermont is sort of a wildcard.

I've lived here for many years and I can certainly say the laws themselves are super loose. If you plan on concealed carrying, you don't even need a license. None of those phoney laws on stocks and pistol grips that New York has.

A few bills have tried to go through restricting mag capacity but those got shot down right away.

Vermont is the perfect situation for a /k/ommando, but the people themselves are mostly under informed gun haters. So yeah, move here and enjoy the practically zero gun laws and vote for good state representatives that are interested in protecting the second ammendment rights that VT still backs.
>>
>>33546612
NH is probably better. Cheapest booze around.
>>
>>33547079
Vermont.
>>
>>33546612
Vermont really knows how to make you feel the Bern.
>>
>>33547118
I can still hear the commies reeeeeing over Gov. Scott being elected from across the CT River. Sounds like victory.
>>
>>33547118
This.

Vermont as it stands now is pretty fucking great.

Bootlicking marxists keep moving here from Boston and New York though.

Its gotten to the point that all the major candidates in the Democratic primary for governor supported shit like assault weapon bans. That was unthinkable only a few years ago - our previous Democrat governor had even made it clear he would veto any gun control bills. The bitch that won the Democratic primary actually called gun control her top priority. Now... she got completely BTFO in the general election, and Vermont elected a Republican governor instead. Which shows that shit doesn't fly for much of the state still. Nevertheless, that the Democrats even feel comfortable talking shit like that shows how far things have fallen.

So yes, please move here, and help offset all these fucking shitheads coming from out of state trying to make us change.
>>
>>33546612
I'm not from there, but I have family in southern VT and spend a lot of time there. It's extremely faggy, and the only reason there is no gun control is that there are no black people. I don't believe there are really enough gun owners there to put up a fight when the libs eventually turn their gaze upon our freedomsticks. And with all the liberals flooding in after ruining their home states it's just a matter of time.

It's a precarious place for a /k/ommando.
>>
>>33546612
Maine is far more /K/...
>>
If you go shooting with Styx, post pictures.
>>
>>33547145
this, almost went red in the election
>>
>>33546612
Yes good gun laws.

Horrible weather 7 months a year. Very high cost of living, high taxes, one of the worst states for employment/starting businesses.
Tons of liberals but also lots of hicks.

I fucking hate it here because of the weather.

I don't mind cold+sun

or ran+moderate temps

but 7 months a year its overcast and liable to snow.

Less sunny days than Portland Or or Seattle. Vitamin D deficiency is real.

May through Oct I don't want to live anywhere else though.

Pretty much the only people that move to Vermont are rich liberals that want to play make believe farmer making gourmet cheese or something like that, or blacks who can sell heroin to all the poor whites out of work.
>>
>>33547386
Vt has a repub gov now
>>
I remember a guy I went to boot camp with who was from Vermont. He was a weird guy who actually got dropped during the first week during medical shit because he had marijuana in his system. Good shit.
>>
>>33547417
...Fort Jackson 2009?
>>
>>33546612
Vermont has some of the best gun laws in the country: doesn't (and never has) required a license for concealed carry, has no retarded mag limits or assault weapon bullshit, and local governments are banned from coming up with their own restrictions (Burlington tried a couple years ago). the only thing that used to suck was suppressors were banned, but we fixed that. The main downside is it snow a lot and decent jobs can be hard to find, but if you have shit planned out then please come here and help offset the Massholes and Connecticunts.

>>33547118
>but the people themselves are mostly under informed gun haters
Don't know where you live, but in the northeast kingdom everyone and there dog owns guns.

>>33547324
>southern VT
So basically Massachusetts?
>>
>>33547324
I can confirm. I work in Vermont, 98% of my coworkers are faggots, we have beanbag chairs, gender nuetral bathrooms, and free beer, it's terrible.
>>
The libshit areas are Burlington, most of southern VT, Upper Valley. These are also the only places that have any semblance of employment too.

Vt is in a sad state of affairs. Shit like Rutvegas or St. Johnsbury were always shit but they were kind of nice shit like 15 years ago. Burlington, Upper Valley and Southern Vt are the only areas that aren't depressed to hell.

The entire state is very scenic though, unlike NH which is garbage on the bottom 1/3rd, ok midway, and then gets kinda spooky but really cool up around the presidential range.
>>
>>33547472

>Don't know where you live, but in the northeast kingdom everyone and there dog owns guns.

Oh yeah, I'd expect that from the more rural parts of the state. I'm from the magical land of somewhere near Shelburne. It's really a mixed pot here. The townies are no guns, and the rural people like me own at least several.
>>
>>33547597

>Inferring downtown Burlington hasn't been overrun by migrant families

I could go full /pol/ on this, but sometimes, on a cloudy gloomy day, I drive on a detour through Burlington and I wonder what part of the fucking middle east I took a left turn on to.
>>
>>33547118
Just move to NH. No income tax and it's now permitless concealed carry.
>>
>>33547699
Yeah, it's pretty bad. I work at a pizza place on pearl street. We get a bunch of barely-English speaking people.
>>
>>33547699

Here's a snapshot of your future.

Start deporting the fuckers now or lose it all.
>>
>>33547832

All I can really do is try to 'Americanize' the ones that are here and vote to keep the rest out. The libs would never allow such, "brutality". I wish people realized that a global economy doesn't mean global doorways.
>>
>>33547597
why is southern NH garbage?

why/where does it get spooky?
>>
>>33547147
Vermont?

>The bitch that won the Democratic primary actually called gun control her top priority. Now... she got completely BTFO in the general election, and Vermont elected a Republican governor instead.

Vermont is far left on everything, but apparently if you try to fuck with their guns, you cross a line.

Don't move to Vermont unless you have a very well-paying job. Just warning you.
>>
>>33549664
Just get a shitty job and find a nurse gf. Every retail/ service place around me needs help.
>>
>>33547832
Vermont is like 95% white, we have more problems with white trash heroin addicts than anything.

My wife and I are both nurses, she is family practice and I'm Flight.

Saving up for vacation home/new primary residence. I know Portland is a bit lib but anywhere on I95 route that is borderline and could use some extra k votes?

Heh live in Albany area and always fun to drive over and look around. That said the fuck is up with the batty middle aged crazies with rainbow hair?
>>
>>33549637
That's why I love the state.

One of the most progressive states, but touching the guns is a big no-no

They don't drug test before boot? I thought they do at meps. Why the first week?
>>
>>33552256
They test you at meps the first time but I think the second time when you ship (if you go back to keep to ship) they don't.
>>
>>33547699
meh

still mostly stoned rich white liberals in Burlington

they have segregated all their pet nigger somalians into the north end

>>33549486
southern NH is all scrubby pines and bad sandy soil, its not the lush green thats pretty much the entirety of VT

its also a giant stripmall for cheaper shopping for massholes cuz no sales tax

nothern NH has the presidential range which are some decent mountains which get insane weather, its somewhat isolated/undeveloped

kinda reminds me of the shining up there
>>
>>33551156
you're living in la la land if you think the progressives/liberals care about guns and are somehow a more 'honorable liberal'

every year they try to fuck with the gun laws

its that Vermont has a rep for being super liberal, but there are still a ton of conservatives here too and when shit gets bad like it is now with our economy they take the time to go and vote
>>
>>33552989
Besides maple, logging, tourism what industries does Vermont have (not being an asshole just honestly don't know)
>>
Vermont will tax the shirt off your back. New Hampshire is far better and has almost the same gun laws.
>>
One of the most gun-friendly states in the nation. Constitutional carry, no mag limits, can hunt with suppressors, NFA items are (obviously) good to go, open carry of long guns and hand guns etc. etc. Downside is that it's been a haven for wealthy MA and NY twats for going on two centuries now. Burlington and Montpelier are socialist breeding grounds, but that's how it usually goes for the largest cities in any state.

Speaking of cities, if you desire urbanity, this is one of the worst places you can come to. Everything is mountains and valleys with small towns. Said small towns are always around 10 miles from other small towns, and they're all pretty much the same.

Farms are a way of life here and take up anything resembling flat land. In terms of food and goods, Vermont is a hipster wet-dream. So much shit is locally grown/made and in small-local-business-style packaging (and priced accordingly). I pay $9 for a block of Plymouth Cheese (I'm not sorry).

Another downside is that the poverty gets fucking real. Not WV bad, but you can sure as shit see it in the mentioned small towns, usually in the form of some white-trash family living off of welfare because the textile mill shut down 20 years ago, shooting up heroin in their 200+ year old homes that are on the verge of caving in.

Shit sho am pretty tho.
>>
>>33552961
I get it, tell everyone northern NH is spooky so they'll stay away from here, because this place is the tits. Anon, you just went full Scooby-Do villian.
>>
>>33553482
Described the southern border of Delaware and Maryland just with less coast and more freedom
>>
>>33553524
Cqn you blame him? Fuck NY and MA expats trying to develop the area and shitting it up. And this is coming from a NY resident that may move up that way bit besides a cabin and solar cells not looking to build up the area to attract developer attention as I just want an isolated hunting area
>>
>>33553564
No, I cannot blame him. I feel guilty for moving up here sometimes, but I am a simple man and my family is Old Yankee, so fuck it. It's like West Virginia being the freest mid Atlantic state, but no one knowing it because of its hillbilly reputation.
>>
Bernie Sanders wants your uh-salt-weponz taken away
>>
>>33554152
All you need to do is storm the stage and yell about how black guns matter, then educate them on the Lord and savior the /k/ube
>>
>>33553635
Lot of good memories hiking and camping along the Appalachian trail through that state
>>
>>33546612

Vermont rules, fuck the haters. The entire state is either ancient nature or rural towns.
>>
Are the northern lights visible in VT?
