I have a German Sig P226 that I want to tactifuck. I want to put a compensator on it, get it milled for an rmr, and maybe find a way to mount a light on it (pre-rail frame). Any recommendations for a compensator? All Google has found me is one custom shop that charges $400 for the things.

I did this with a Surefire MR14B and it sucks balls. Don't bother. Get a stainless 226 if you want to fuck with it or have a 226 geared for competition.

I have a stainless one, it's just old. I guess I'll just go without a light. What made the surefire rail suck?
Any recommendations at all for compensators? Most pistol comps seem to be fairly gun- specific, and all of them seem to be intended for Glocks. Would getting the barrel/slide ported be as stupid as I think it is? Seems like a really expensive way to invite gunk into the action.

Fair enough. Tfw graveyard.
Bumping for awake people.
Should I give up and just get a USP compact instead?

do this, then get a P226R which already has some of the work done for you.
notable in that it's not going to be cheap any way you slice it.

That's what I figured. Gonna use the cash to join the USP master race. Ah well, I only paid $570 for the thing, so I should turn a decent profit.
